I may give the Airpods a try, the current style of earphones has some advantages and disadvantages. It's big but smaller than headphones. It's not really discrete and can't easily put away. What I like, I can't lose as easily, misplaced my USH-II card for a few days, had me freaking out
. One ear use, simply let the other side dangle. Convenience of being with me. It's on my shoulders/neck all day.I do have a set of headphones, but not my preference for workouts. Wouldn't wear these earphones either, would like something at a throw away price due to risk of damage. I run in the streets rather than a gym or indoors.

I still use my jaybird runs for outdoor runs. The fins help keep them in place while running. The 2nd Gen jaybird runs came out not too long ago so you can snag the first gens on sale.
I'm a fan of true wireless headbuds for exercise, but especially running. The fewer wires or bands you have on you the better.
