Haha I tried to convince mine that these were the cheap $35 ones we bought from Miniso but sadly she didn't fall for them. She asked why I need a $400 pair when I already have a $400 pair of Bose headphones. I Asked her in returen why she needed to buy her 8k Chanel bag which she already had 3 other branded bags that totaled 6.5k :P haha

Good that you managed to talk your way into getting them :D

Wow that's really expensive but they must sound awesome! How long have you had them? The only thing that would worry me about those is the wires going (which is what always used to happen with my wired headsets).

8k for a handbag...I would loose my mind...

Awesome...can't wait to see everything you shot while you were out here.

The 2x works too...its f/11 but it works and is plenty sharp still. Bokeh is a bit nervous.

Thanks Travis.

I'll post an image from my Georgia trip soon but first up is a quick shot with my new lens.

I've been away in the Atlanta area for work the past 2 weeks. Finally got home earlier just in time to take delivery of my FE 100-400 GM. Here is the first image that I captured just to test it out.

I just purchased these Campfire Solaris about a month ago. I've owned the previous flagship "Andromeda's" for 14mths and sold them.

The cables are removable. Those ones in the iphone snapshot are "balanced" cables which is different compared to using the "normal" single ended 3.5mm type you usually use. The sonic difference depending on amplifier can be quite substantial in improvements.

These IEM's really do sound incredible. If you've ever listened to a high end 2 channel stereo (somewhere in the 10,000 to 30,000 dollar range) many IEM's with good headphone amps can sound almost on par. My campfire Solaris are only $2000 CDN and just think there are more in the $5000 range. Point of diminishing returns.

The holographic sound and balanced sound is unreal and just think I'm particular. A person that isn't into this kind of head "hifi" would have their jaws drop.

But when you get into this kind of level you almost get into a state of "end game" but like camera stuff it never ends!!

During the last weekend of my work trip, I visited the Great Smoky National Park with Travis and boy was I blown away by the beauty of the place. It was my first visit and it surely won't be my last. This is one of the few overlooks where you can catch sunrise. We were treated to some beautiful light. Not much editing on this one since the exposure was spot on.

When might you go?
I am going to be up there 3 times in the next three months...just today I got invited to be a guest instructor for two mini workshops for the Georgia Nature Photography Association on their annual statewide weekend in the Smokies.

I really like how the headlights transition into taillights.

Yeah it’s pretty insane, even more so that she complains about my earbuds which didn’t even total 1/8th if the cost haha

That’s good that the cables are removable as they are always the first thing to go which you don’t want after spending so much on them.

Living in the same mountains just a few miles north and east we sadly take them for granted :( Just remember to really see
the Smokies (like any national park) you need to get away from the parking lot.

Alright gurus, I miss my macro lens and want to hear from you about the Sony 90mm macro baby, please. Or any other suggestions?
Of course, I sold my Canon gear and the lovely EF 100mm Macro USM IS f2.8 L lens.

Great one Alfredo!

Now you need to come back and shoot it again with the CV 10mm - it would get the whole bend in the road in frame, which would be cool. :p
