So the 35/1.8 arrived. Size and weight is great. One weird thing though is that when I hold it and then tilt it forward I can feel the internals moving with gravity. I can then tilt it the other way and feel it moving back again. Not sure if thats normal or defective? Never had that with a lens before. Seems to be functioning correctly though

How the IQ and AF on the lens?

IIRC I had lens that did that before, seemed weird but alway worked normally. Could it be a floating element (if this lens has one)?

Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta during blue hour. This one was a bit tough to frame since I wanted to include the pedestrian bridge, the skyline, and part of the stadium. There were cars parked to the left of the frame so it limited the composition somewhat. The stadium itself is impressive in person. Love the design of the architecture.

Now for something completely different from cityscape. :)

One Saturday, I drove up to Cloudland Canyon State Park in Georgie and explored the waterfalls. There are two tall waterfalls that are the main attractions. This one is a bit of a hike to reach but well worth it. Going down isn't tough but it's the climb back up along many stairs that is a good workout.

Thanks for including so much of the scenery around the waterfall. As someone whose never been there, it's nice to see the waterfall in relation to the space around it.

Great shot and good that you captured some people in the scene as I thought it was a very small waterfall before seeing the people to the right.

Thank you! Yes I felt that including the people was important here.

Beautiful captures Alfredo! I like your framing on both very much. The sky was very nice for you in the stadium shot. That stadium was designed by HOK in Kansas City btw. I never worked at that firm, but most architects and designers in KC (including myself) have some stadium work in their resumes as there have always been at least three different firms that specialize in sports architecture.

15 years ago we took my mom to this park. She was recovering from hiatal hernia surgery and still had a drainage tube coming out of her. I don’t know how she managed it, but we did that whole hike down and back up again. I joked about hanging on to her tube to help me go up the stairs. Now I don’t think my 55 yo worn out knees could take it.

That turned out to be a two hurricane camping vacation. Hurricane Francis pummeled us the first week, and then it was Ivan a week later.

Why haven’t any FE 35mm 1.8 shots been posted here yet? What is the major holdup?! :p

The focus is really quick, oof areas seem smooth and in my very limited use so far the bokeh doesn’t look busy. Floating elements might be a shout. It seems to stop doing what I describe when the camera is powered on

When we went to the Brecon's I took most of my shots further away at 40mm instead of the usual up close and wide! Great image :)

I've still felt a little torn on this one.... There were times away last week where AF would have made things quicker. Then yesterday Eddie said his was en route to him... Grrrrr....

But then last night I dragged the 'family' holiday images from the A7 and some of the 40/1.2's...... I'm not sure I could give that up? And I don't think it's sensible to have and carry both really?

Damn I hope I get a shipping date soon for mine, but we seem to be last to get everything here so I won't hold my breath.

HI does anyone recommend a good hiking bag that can house a 400mm f2.8 attached to a gripped camera?
