The difference between 50mm and 85mm is pretty big here. But either way it was a wonderful way to start the day. Very nice one.

Thanks Travis! Yes, I shot both 55mm and 85mm at this spot. The 85 worked well for this scene.

Love the colour combination in this shot, especially in the water.

Not fun getting hit with Gout in my foot while going on a "staycation" on the Island.

I'm definitely not a birder as my 70-200 is too sort. However sometimes things just get close enough :)

Also photos at the edge of a cliff isn't my comfort zone either :)

I was out this afternoon by the Toronto Lakefront, there is a traditional Labour Day airshow and I was surprised at the number of photogs I found using the new Sony 200-600 ! The lens is actually a bit smaller than I expected, I had never seen one in person.

Working one a 3 image pano and trying to fine tune it a bit...thought I would finish the edit on this one first...looking in the direction of the sunrise...the only edit was bringing up the exposure a bit and lifting the shadows a bit to show the shoreline and the mist a little more and let that lone photog out there show up a bit...didn't touch the saturation or vibrancy at all...a rarity that it didn't even go through any of the NIK suite...it was just that colorful.

So Sony here in Australia like to reserve their stock for themselves when new products launch.

They’ve been selling the 35mm f/1.8 for a few weeks now but all the independent stores (including the one I bought the lens from) are only getting stock in the second or third week of Sept :(

I wish I could have my lens already!
