I took this with the Samyang 12MM lens which I really like!

The amazing thing is that at an effective 840mm the a6500 still had AF-C with the little green squares dancing on the subject. The ancient 400mm F5.6 has no image stabilization and I was all over the place at this focal length trying to stay on target, so the in camera IBIS of the a6500 was working. So Metabones V (0.57) works a charm on the a6500 and an ancient Canon lens.

Anyone ever try their hand at adobe after effects? Really awesome presentation tool. This is an example of what can be done...the parallax effect is kind of gimmicky, but there are lots of really cool things you can do. I'm going to try my hand at putting something together from our last Disney trip...could also offer this as an additional service for events and portrait sessions I do.

a9+ FE 35 1.4. I exposed for the sky and hit the limit of the a9's DR in this shot...had to use dodge and burn tool to reduce the exposure in the deep shadows in some of the trees that were showing some nasty noise. I've never had to do that on the a7rII. My daughter's face is kind of noisy too.

Too cute!
And on the file, well you've shown the a9's file can be worked....yep more effort than the a7rii that's for sure. More proof to me that those two bodies
go well together in the bag/Pelican.

Beautiful shot! That's what that FE 35mm is all about right there.

I know what you mean about noisy faces. My yorkies have really noisy faces when they want me to throw the ball. They just won't shut up those two. :p

You should also be able to do this with the free program "Hitfilm Express 2017". Here's a tutorial from 2015 to show what can be done.

Not the best weather today for my first quick outing with the Loxia 21mm. A few little storms came and went...here is one from in-between storms. I used a CPL to cut glare/reflections and used 64 SR snaps for the main body of water. Everything else is from a 1/4 shutter.

If you do decide to get AE, I recommend Video Co Pilot's Boot Camp to start out.

Cool shot David, I like the blending of a single fast shot with an LE...keeps the trees from moving...that building with the water tower could be a great subject...lots of possibilities there!

this is my logic...there will be times that the 7r2 and its DR are needed...and times that the speed and AF supremacy of the a9 will be needed...I keep telling myself this, over and over...as I work toward it...someone else mentioned selling two or three cameras to buy one...when all the dust settles, it will be two cameras, 4 lenses and a filter to end up with the a9...seems kinda silly when put that way!

Thanks Travis...motion blur on foliage can sometimes be cool, but usually it ruins the shot for me.

I think I got a super sharp copy Alfredo! I'm really impressed anyway. A few quick handheld snaps from just exploring the lens today:
