Real world use case 35MM-ish rendering tests for my own sanity.

@f1.8, the lenses are closer in terms of rendering than I expected. It's funny how biased our perceptions of glass can be. Both 35's get kinda nervous in the corners of the OOF areas. All 3 lenses have their own issues with bokeh balls.....but this is true of most lenses that are not the 85GM.

Overall I think all 3 lenses render nicely. CV40 is the winner in my eyes and its mostly due to FOV difference.

Used the FE 100-400 GM for an abstract minimalist shot of some rushing water.

Well I get the A7rIV Next week but the 200/600 that was in stock on the site ( wasn't in stock ) so rather than cancel I will have to Waite for that lens .
Iv ordered a cheapo 28/70 oss so i will have something to play around with and get the feel of the menu / settings.

Rob.

Do any of you guys use filter pouches?

I'm just thinking something for my screw in filters. I've got a maximum of 4 67mm and 2 58mm - one of each is usually on a lens!

Quite a lump when they are all boxed. And do they stay clean or get covered in dust and fluff?

Congratulations. when you customize all your customizable buttons, the FN menu plus the My Menu, The story of Sony having a pain menu system isn't an issue.

If only the A7RIV have Medium Raw, I'm all in.

i used the Tamron 17-35 lens profile and it seems to work on small barrel distortion.

So I fixed the LCD on my 6500 with a $15 replacement!! Took about 30 minutes. Yay! Sony wanted nearly $400 to just look at it!
