No idea. I googled, seems it happened to a few A77s but looks like I'm the unlucky winner for the A9.

we had such wild clouds and light for that one...Nice work on this one, great depth to it. I have only edited one, but feel like I could edit a couple more just for the variety we had.

Appreciate it Travis! Oh yeah, we had some great clouds that evening. I liked how the clouds swirled around the lone tree in this shot.

Although I'm not sure how much use I'd get from this focus range, this lens certainly sounds interesting

the size of it is enticing...but loosing that 20 at the end is a bummer...I would rather go for that FE Sony 70-300G lens for smaller and more reach.

I found myself shooting smaller vignettes on the trip...intentionally. It was a good challenge to try to stay away from the 12/18 lenses...not going to be super popular images, but I like them all the same, this one for the varied light and textures. 2 image focus stack here again. CPL to kill the glare on the ferns and leaves...it really makes them rich in color.

I really want to add a reasonably sized 70-200 to my kit. Given that I'm shooting crop this FL would still leave me with 105-270 equiv. I could do that. Way more reach than I've had in a long time. Would prolly do just fine shooting kayaking, skiing, and biking. Please let it not be huge!

early predictions show it being half the size of the 70-200GM....

That would work real nice. I'd prolly be all over it!

Been playing with the new a6400. Man....the tracking on this camera (and presumably all the new gen Sony bodies) is fantastic! Compose and shoot. No fiddling with finding an AF point. So nice and fun!

Couple shots of my son Sam. He's looking so big to me these days!

yeah the new AF systems are pretty stunning...I get used to it on the a9 since it is what I use for most of what I do...then I go back to the r2 for landscapes and it is just rough...your wife doesn't look too thrilled about you pointing your new toy at her...your son does look like he is growing up a lot.

Final image from Spruce Flat Falls, just a different comp from the first spot we were shooting, showing the big splash pool at the bottom of the second tier. A spot where the CPL was a big help, without it the glare on the pool was hideous.

Do you think the AF system makes up for the lack of joystick? I know you brought this up as a concern previously.

I'm considering adding the a6400.

PS Sam looks like he hit a growth spurt. My 11 year sprouted up too and it freaks me out lol
