I've been busy lately. I'm currently in the process of moving to Denver for a new job. Currently working remote on that new job while I relocate. House is under contract after going on the market a week ago so wish us luck. If everything lines up, I should be up there before Oct 30.

I shot a few commercial architecture projects last week and have started editing them.

This is a University of Houston office located in downtown San Antonio.

Great job controlling the dynamic range on this image too Alfredo. Beautiful scene.

Best of luck on the next chapter in your life. Here's wishing you and your family the very best.

So far really enjoying the new Sony crop camera.
This one with the EOS 400DOii, processed Gene-style via the Beta profile.

Sony ILCE-7RM4
DT 400mm F4 SAM
ƒ/8.0 400.0 mm 1/1600 400

Shot in APS-C mode for the effective 600mm.
Crop in post? Either way floats the Nuthatch ;)

Crap light so I knew at 6.3 the ISO would climb.
My angle was to slow the shutter as slow as possible for a BIF.
Motor a bunch of captures and hope one would have a sharp eye.
Best of the sequence.

I love Alaska but truth is, it is as light challenged as where I live in the hills.

Choder not what I wanted. 1/800 when I wanted 1/1600 for BIF, but as you noted the ISO was already 3200 :(
What's a man to do! I know, get an F4 lens haha! But then I'm in the hospital post back surgery :)

Would f4 have provided enough depth of Field? I see sharp (frozen) body and head which is most important. A bit of blur in the wings but I don't see that as a problem.

I think of a bird's wings being blurred much like the prop blur on an aircraft photograph. I think it gives a sense of motion that adds to the image rather than detracts.

a bunch of negative and then an awesome image...dude...its a fantastic image...at least you didn't have to shoot with the 100-400 and a 2x leaving you at an even smaller aperture!

I was surprised too. It's a pretty nice building and office for UofH students.

Thank you.
