Wow what a home. Well pictured Vinz. Just the couch cost more than ALL my furniture.

Thank you.

I am coming from A7R and have the following questions:
1. What SD card do you use and recommend.
2. How do you use th etwo card slots? I shoot raw and donot need jpeg becuase I do wireless transfer for quick social media posting,
3. Do you use the second slot for video, is that recommended?

Back Button focusing- since my Canon days and with the A7R I do back button focusing with single point, with the fast focus on the A7RIII and RIV is back button focusing still useful?
what kind of focus point do you normally use, I wil be using the eye focus for model shoots, beats the back button focus on the eye and recompose method :-)

Thanks

Cheers,
Tony

what focus and recompose? lol

for single subject with no other peps around the AF-C/Wide, when there's more people around your subject, AF-C/Flexible spot also enable eye AF-C.

Need help please.

Riv is here. Need to sell the Riii.
Have a man interested.
He asked what shape it is in. I told him the truth never dropped, never even a sprinkle on it. But on this past trip on 2 occasions when I pressed the play button the Riii released the shutter!
I bet he'll still want it....but I think I should send it to the Sony service center for a diagnostic.
Agreed?

My a9 will do something similar from time to time...hit play and instead the focus locks onto something and the green box comes on...

Travis it worried me at first but I got over it since it kept working 'normal', it's just I had instead of another back-button-focus I had play button focus and release ;) And many many
shots between and after the event.

Yeah I don't worry about it, just annoying when you are trying to review quickly and every once in a while it does it.

Lets send him my R2 and see if he notices :-P

Seriously are you a sony pro member? I sent my R2 in to clean and check it and they sent it back in a really nice Sony box that I can use to ship to whoever buys it. It was free both ways and was out of my hand a total of 4 days

Ok now that I am spent out and in a great amount of trouble for buying a bunch of new stuff and not getting around to selling my old stuff like the R2 and the Think Tank pano 180 bag.

I HAVE to start thinking ahead right?

On the horizon NEED list: 200-600 and the 2x TC (replacing the 100-400 and the 1.4 maybe) MM yes I have my 1.4 on all the time.

I am starting to like the 90 with the Ar4 so its now safe.

the FE 35 1.8, CV 40 1.2, and Sony 85 1.8 are all on an interest list but I think I want a really good fast 3D lens in that mid range. So what lens is that or is it one of these three

EDIT: I am also hankering for a TSE..... maybe the old canon FD 35???

The rendering on the CV 40mm has good dimensionality while offering superb bokeh. Rendering-wise it beats 35 1.8 imo. The 35mm 1.8 is ideally suited for Carlo and Eddie who need the quick AF to capture their kids.

I finally sold my FE 50mm 1.4 ZA today, which means I won’t have to sell my CV 12mm (hurray!!). I will be putting my CV 40mm up next week though.

just a headsup. I'm selling my A7RIII soon. I can have Sony Pro Support clean it up too. Outside is clean. I like them to clean inside. No issues, just to be sure.
