Since getting the FE35 I haven’t used any of my other lenses! The 35 hasn’t been removed from the mount. Granted I’m not shooting hundreds of photos but still, I’ve not had that with a lens in a while

I love 24mm (36mm on the cropper). If I can only take one lens that's it.

I got a chance to give the 6400 a work out yesterday shooting some mountain biking. The AF is just sooooo easy to use. Find the subject as she's approaching, lock on, shoot away. So easy that I'm able to concentrate much more on composition while tracking the moving subject. Only shots not in focus were user error. I think it'll be even more outstanding with practice! Here are some of my favs from yesterday.

I sure get tempted to get the a5400 but I'm not crazy about the ergonomics of my a6500 so I'll continue to wait a bit and get the a7r4 when it comes back into stock.

My latest gadget, the Fizzics FZ403 DraftPour Beer Dispenser. Since I'm a single person living alone, it didn't make much sense to look into getting a kegarator or something of that kind for my home bar. However, while browsing around at them, I noticed this gizmo. You can place any size can or bottle of beer inside and it will dispense the beer from the tap.

The special feature of the tap is that a pull pours the beer but a push of the handle will dispense micro-bubbles creating a very dense head that gives the beer a nice, creamy mouthfeel.

I just got this yesterday and even though I 'played' with it at my neighbors house, err, just a little, I still need a bit more practice in getting that 'perfect pour'. :p;-)a

If you dropped your camera and it accidentally snapped a picture it would come out amazing in your part of the world Cory. :p

I’m 200% kidding, because you’re truly a marvelous photographer. I’m not jealous of others, normally, but regarding your scenery and inspiring outdoorsy lifestyle I make an very unique exception. :)

You too! Arrrg. I want to do astro so much...well at least practice. We're going to Utah/Idaho next summer and I want
to be 'ready'. Too many times I've gotten there and fumbled with settings in the dark. I also get nervous....even with
bird in flight shots my adrenalin shoots up.

Well, I've only really started with it earlier this year so yeah, as many opportunities as possible would be good. I'm okay with settings, not bad with editing/stacking etc but I want more practice at 'seeing' the shot & working with a foreground. Which is reasonably hard when you can't see the MW with the naked eye.....

my boss is 6 weeks into his rehab...both of my parent's have had them done...if I was older my right one would be replaced already but they don't do it yet...since I am only 42...so I live with chronic knee pain.

I've had 6 surgeries on my right knee, including an ACL reconstruction. Have been in pain for years. I have no cartlidge left and am booked in for the 16th December for a full knee replacement.

I had the same issue with age. They wanted me to wait until I was 50. I'm 49 now and they have finally agreed to do it. Really needed it a couple of years ago.

Yeah, the rangefinder style is a little weird but I've gotten used to it. It's also a little small....but that was the whole point of me going this route...small, lightweight and easy to pack. Perfect for the on the go hiker, biker or skier.

Oh....and my 6400 was $2700 less expensive than the A74!!! That's all I'm willing to pay for a camera body as an enthusiastic hobbyist shooting not much more than family/friend lifestyle stuff!

Wow David! what a nice complement! Thanks man!

Yeah, we really do have some great stuff in this part of the country! It's a great quality of life. It's all my kids know. They're now getting to the age where they understand how very fortunate they are to be growing up here. ;-)a

Took the Loxia 85 out to PorchFest in San Rafael. A warm Sunday afternoon, a shady residential street and park, and free music. What more could you want? :-D

...a little porch music.

Every time I think of deviating from the 28-75 due to size mostly, I always run into the typical run and gun issues, filters and close focus.

I would love something in the 50-85 range that could focus decently close and 67mm filter to match the 17-28, which is a dream to use. I've been using the 17-28 as a default lens a ton because of the small size, reasonable aperture, and close focus ability. I dont need macro levels of detail, but something much closer than what the 50 and 85 can do. it has to be smaller and lighter of course, otherwise, defeats the purpose.

I find the MFD of the 50 serviceable, but the 85 just has me pulling out my hair :-P

not really brand specific, this seemed to be the case for as long as I've known.

Yeah it is a bit big but still much smaller and lighter than your usual 24-70.

Who knows maybe once Tamron are done with this set of lenses they will start making the standard 50mm and 85mm primes for Sony!

This is pretty much why I think it's best to sell my 28-75mm. When I had the Canon 35mm f/2 IS I didn't use anything but that and I'm sure it will be the same with the Tamron.

The video that convinced me to get the a7r4.

Even the videos shot with this camera are amazing to me.

And, you only live once!

Oh, I will probably sell my a7r2 so that batteries are compatible between my r3 and the new r4. My r2 does have the 'smooth reflection' and 'time-lapse' apps if anyone here might be interested.
