Vinz you know I know nothing on portraiture....birds and bugs man!
But for birds and mFT the whole key is to fill the frame. Yes you can crop
a little with mFT, it does have pixel density, but the closer we can get to the wildlife
the better....often cannot tell the difference between 1DXii and 500ISii, lived it firsthand
shooting with Poof and her M1ii + Oly 300/4 Pro.

Backlight, mostly the bane for a bird/wildlife photographer eh :)
But shoot anyway, and using a new combo dream machine for weight and wieldability, the
a9 + MB V (0.57) + the ancient EOS 400/5.6. So light!
And a chance to really pull shadows of the a9

Vinz, scroll down and give Poof's work with the Oly M1ii a 1 min scan. She's the one that taught me firsthand shooting side by side that
heavy EOS kit is not need (in good light). I'm lucky to have her as an Oly mentor. She's been with Oly for quite a while now-

i agree with a smaller mp, frame it right the first time.

but then i saw this ISO25600 by Gordon Laing. Boom!

Curious as to why are you still using your Canon 400mm when you now have the Sony FE 100-400mm GM? The Sony lens inadequate in some way?

Got my Batis 18mm and 25mm posted up for sale. I am loving my new Loxia 21mm so much that I can't help but think about other ones. Particularly the 35mm. I didn't love the Loxia 35mm wide open, BUT I loved shooting with it and stopped down it's great. And the size is fantastic.

Alfredo, have you ever thought about just getting all the Loxias (you're missing the 35 and 50)? How about the 85mm? You still happy you have it?
