The razolite is definately in the top three for consideration, I just wish the boat had a top deck, it reminds me more of a canoe instead of a Kayak. The other portable Kayak I'm looking at is not an inflatable but a folding model made by Oru, Oru Bay ST it's a pretty radical design but according to all reports a very good portable solution and super lightweight.

We looked at Oru. Looks good to me. We just wanted one that was more packable in the van and we knew the space we
had on the SlideMaster for two kayaks. The Oru didn't fit our space requirements. Other than that it would have been Oru.
I wouldn't hit oyster shells with Oru either ;)

Nice but I see some 4 dust specks on your sensor. I never noticed mine until somebody pointed them out to me :)

A shot of my new entertainment center. I needed a better solution for my Samsung soundbar and also wanted storage for my DVD and Blue-Ray discs. I still haven't put the backing on yet. I wanted to be sure my components were where I wanted them to be. If I keep it as is, I'll need to drill one more hole in the backing to accommodate cables on the lower center shelf.

I still don't have room to put all my discs in the cabinet.

I noticed that too. I’m on a work retreat and sneaking off taking photos when I can. Will try to clean the sensor this afternoon.

a7rIV 1/2500 f6.3 iso 1600

Having tried locked on I went to No 4 responsive, there was no difference between the two settings I got as many sharp shots as Locked on got yet I was expecting to see a marked difference thinking one must be better than the other for BIF
Thinking about it I am use to birding and i think that explains why, often if I come off the bird I can quickly pick it up again in the VF so not being locked on has very little effect I would think this is the same for anyone that has a lot of practice .
I will keep it on No 4 as I do like the camera to act fast.

I also tested mode 1 and 2 stabilize on the lens following BIF in all directions as they often not only go across the frame but up and down too again I saw no difference other than the VF image was more stabilized on 1 and this makes it easier to follow the bird .

This is my first Sony camera and I'm impressed with it now I have the set up sorted, It works great with my 200/600 I may have to get a grip as my EM1X feels nicer in the hand and before that 1DXMKii .

I shall keep both systems but can say the A7RIV will be my first choice mostly because the large VF and being able to crop gives it the edge and the AF is better .

Rob.

Thank you Jose, my first test shot with this lens, I think I have a keeper.. Likewise, searched for a while for a nice clean copy.

BTW I have a Novaflex collar for it, that I have no use for, if you know anyone looking for one.

I purchased the Leitax adapter so I was able to find a cheap E-bay collar for it that works pretty well, I don’t use it much on a tripod so the collar is seldom used. The Novoflex collar is very nice as expected.:-)

I'm a little concerned about the "foatability" of the Oru I don't believe it's as good as the other inflatable Kayaks, they actually make a set float bags that are inserted in the stern and bow of the kayak.

Understood. With the Sea Lion ..I cant remember exact number....but several air chambers. No worries on
sinking. Stability is also top notch. Speaking of, we've two Eddyline Carribbean's and you can swing around
and put your legs in the water and be no where near tipping. I've never paddled anything as stable as them.
But I'm like you Jose. I prefer SINKs over SOTs, SOTs are just warmer and out of the rain.

From the Glennallen area.
Glennallen is a stones throw from Wrangel-St. Elias National Park and this is the Wrangel range. Of course w
were late for the good light...always :)

With the Tam17-28. I really could have done the whole trip with just it and the 200600.

Nope, just photoshop again. I think I'd put a real gold signature somewhere other than the screen but there isn't much real estate that's not screen on LCD TVs nowadays. :-)

Wow, now that is wide open country. I think the light adds to the mood for the scene to my eye.
