A7rii autofocus-how on earth do I get the camera to stop continuous autofocusing? I was doing landscapes yesterday, would focus on lower third, recompose and the camera was automatically refocusing without me even touching it?

This is with single shot auto focus set. No matter what mode I select the camera continually focuses without me touching it?

You have to turn off some dumb setting in the menus. I forget what it was called. That drove me nuts when I first got that camera. Couldn't for the life of me understand it or why anyone would need it.

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.

I like the shape of this glass and so I played around lighting it.

Yep, that is the one! No idea why anyone would want that... I am sure there is a reason for it.

Sold the Canon cameras and converted to a A7rII. So far it been amazing! A7RII with Metabones V adapter with a Canon 50L. Focus is pretty damn fast!

Headed out for the Perseids Meteor Shower last night. Initial destination was Glencoe but found clouds when we got there quickly followed by torrential rain. This ones a bit noisy but the rain came on too hard before I managed to shoot a longer exposure at a lower ISO so this is all I got. This was the test shot to check framing etc (couldnt see what we were getting on the LCD due to the darkness so normally take a few test shots and check and reframe each time)

Shame you didn't get any meteor shots but you certainly didn't walk away empty handed. I really like the 'spotlight of light' effect created by the clouds in this scene.
