Agreed. Daniel that is fine fine work. The processing is completely new to me and I like it a lot for this genre.

Yeah, I get where your own critical mind comes from, but that still looks damn impressive to me!!

Lee I finally heard back from my mentor Mo. He told me mine wasn't bad at all. So I'm feeling a bit better about myself ;) Well you know how it can
be when you continually get slapped in the face. Either it's the clouds, the Moon, or my work....and then more often or not I just screw up a setting or
forget to do something.
In astro, since there are seemingly a thousand steps from begging to end, it is said you start out perfect and go downhill from there! I think I always start
half-way down the slope.

I would hate to see it go...I love it a lot and have had it for a long time...bought it brand new...but I don't use it as much now...

Thank you sir...means a lot coming from one of the best people photogs...

it doesn't bother my eye...beautiful image.

the background has such a cool effect to it...looks like a painting.

The background is the result of a super fast aperture ( 200 f2 ) in this case, sharpness and just the right amount of ripple in the water. The 135 GM also does it easily but it's a little more contrasty so in my view not as appealing.

As uploaded to Flickr this one was over 19,000 wide.
Might be worth a click on the image once in Flickr.

The interesting thing though is that I thought I grabbed the 551.8 but I grabbed the 50/2.8 Macro before leaving the cabin ha!

Thanks Robert, I went out today specifically to shoot with the 200 F2, it's a beast to carry around but the output is so nice I forget how awkward it can be to use, shot a ton of images today with it.

a7rIV should be here this week.

I think after I add the Tamron 70-180 next year, my kit will be done for good. I should have all the bases I need covered by then.

Compact 35 for family stuff (FE 35 f1.8).

35-85 combo for weddings, portraits, and events (Sigma 35 f1.2 and 85GM)

Compact UWA (Tamron 17-28 f2.8)

General Purpose telephoto Zoom (Tamron 70-180)

So you’re keeping both the Sony 35mm and the F/1.2 Art?

I was tempted to do this with my 35mm Art and the Sony but I don’t do paid work and have no plans on doing so, for portraits anyways, so couldn’t justify.

Sony Alpha A7 Mark IV - Sony FE PZ 16-35mm f/4 G - Sony FE 35mm f/1.4 GM - Sigma 85mm f/1.4 DN Art - Sigma 105mm f/2.8 Macro - Sigma 50mm f/2 DG DN

Peak design bags are expensive, but man theyre serious about this lifetime warranty. I use my everyday messenger as a work bag now. .. Zipper on the laptop compartment broke. I submitted a warranty claim with photos and they sent a shipping notification for a new bag right away.

The bag is over 3 years old.

Good to know! I love my Peak messenger. I carry it daily.

Great detail and beautiful fall colors. I half expected to see a rabbit peeking around one of the trees when viewed large on your Flickr page. :-)

Since 6144px on the long side is the max on Flickr now, I usually resize large images to that number before uploading so I have control over the resizing.

Awesome! I usually regret something after a MW shoot.... Number of shots, composition, foreground....
