Wonderful focus on the eye. If that was F2 then the DOF is like a razor eh.
I looked it up, 5.5 pounds for your beast. But I can see times when it is totally worth
it. I bet you'll take it to the grave with you too.

Great detail and beautiful fall colors. I half expected to see a rabbit peeking around one of the trees when viewed large on your Flickr page. :-)

Since 6144px on the long side is the max on Flickr now, I usually resize large images to that number before uploading so I have control over the resizing.

I'll take that as a strong suggestion Gene.

A study in stage 1 (or whatever Sony calls it) sensitivity in tracking.
I'd locked on to this duck about the same time as the background jumble of trunk/root/tree parts
juxtaposed behind him. The a9 had no trouble even with such similar coloring keeping lock.

3:40 a.m. and coming in from the cold to the warm. A trick I use to prevent/lessen
condensation on the lens (in this case the small telescope) and in the camera. They both
go inside the bags and air mushed out before coming into the house.

I did same thing in Costa Rica and in Svalbard, except there inside the plastic bags I also
had silica gel packets.

I let the camera and lens stay in the bag(s) until well after (45mins to an hour) they'v reached
room temperature.

I'll take that as a strong suggestion Gene.

I just tried a test upload of an image larger than the new max of 6144px on the long side and it does maintain the original size for the owner to download with the largest viewable size as the 6144px. So I should have mentioned that if your goal was to store images on Flickr at sizes larger than the max viewable, that is possible.

Was the air mushed out by hand or with some kind of pump?

Off topic if you don't mind.

new logo concept. what do you think?

I wanted to print some polo shirts to be used as uniforms when shooting so i thought of making a logo.

My concept is to make it as simple as possible and easy to print anywhere. I like it also to be not limited to real estate only so i just used my initials.

Maybe you could have the M and V superimposed but different colors to differentiate the two letters.

Kinda like this?

That's definitely a branding logo for sure, nice job Gene, of course Vin could choose his colors.

If you watch on Netflix (up to season 5) Ressurection the story of the Erturgul, the father of Osman, the founder of the Turkish Ottoman empire, that is the sympbol of their tribe.

Yeah, it's one of those lenses that you hate to work with and certainly to carry around with you but every time I use it it just makes me think that it's all well worth the effort and ridiculous cost. The look is pretty unique I think. It's going to stay with me until it dies and there are no more parts to repair it with I think.
