My 'Forest' background arrived (one day shipping) so I placed it on my BG stand about 3' behind me. I didn't bother to remove the wrinkles (it came folded up into rectangular squares) for this image.

I did use a radial gradient to darken the bg a bit in post. I also did a .2 pixel Gaussian blur to reduce sharpness. I think it will work out fine taped to my block wall but I'll give that a try later too.

Either way, I'm not out too much as the BG cost a total of $9.78 including shipping.

Interesting contrast between the warmth of the sky and the cold looking ground.

I'm happy that it's 84° here right now though. ;-)a

First image (well, first scene) from last Saturday. And my first frost of the year too! So glad I have found somewhere so local for when the conditions catch me out last minute! Annoyed that it's taken me so long to find though!!

A7 & ........ yeah..... the 40/1.2 ;)

Thanks Gene. I didn't expect it to be that frosty on the grass in all honesty!

Nothing a good iron won't sort out ;) I think it'll do the job you want it to do just fine.

Did you iron the background or did the shallow DOF take care of the creases?

I used my Aperture LED panel in this one because I already had it out and it was handy. Shot through double tracing paper in a window screen frame.

Just the shallow depth of field...and me hiding a lot behind me. :-)

The setup shot shows how wrinkled it was at the time I took my 'portrait'.

Yesterday I was driving along the Snake River and saw a bighorn sheep in the road. I got out and snapped some photos. It was a very gray day and the light was very harsh but I think they turned out fairly nice.
