The E 70-350G works fine on the a9 too. Here's another with the 6400
and 70-350G.
Can't try with the Riv, it's tied up in the splash studio.

you got another copy? I've been itching for a longer AF lens, and I'm a bit confused on what options to get. I dont really do anything serious for telephoto, and thinking about an APS-c to save size and weight.

I handed Poof the a6400+70-350mm G, showed her this first round of images, and she grinned=size/weight!

Ok, so here's one from the a9....remember on a9 in cropper I've only got 10.4mpx to work with.
Next up the Riv, but so far I'm good with 70-350G on a6400 or a9.

A move to MX is still in our plans, but we will be continuing here in GA until my mom is no longer with us (I hate talking like that  ).

We were hoping and planning to do an extended 4-month scouting trip in 2020, but my mom’s alzheimers has progressed to the point that she can’t reliably take care of our cat while we are gone. So, we decided to cancel it.

Meanwhile my wife and I are diligently making preparations so we can be ready to move when our situation requires it. We’re doing our best to research out the most ideal locations (prioritizing safety, healthcare, and cost of living) for our retirement needs and we are working daily to learn español.

To bring my reply back to photography, I wish we were already there! I’d love to be living in a beautiful mexican city that I could photograph the heck out of. So much incredible vibrant culture. My current location, for some reason, has left me exhausted of photo ideas. It turns out that I have a limited appetite for sunset pictures at the lake and very much miss living in a city. Heck, I’d be elated to return to KC, but we’re here for my mom.

I absolutely freaked out this weekend. Did a quick trip to the botanical gardens and load up the photos into the comp start working in lightroom and this is what I had on about 20 out of 180.

I start frantically thinking something is wrong with the shutter on the A9 oh crap...... Then I think well maybe its the SD card. Finally load the card back in the camera and I can see all the pics just fine put it back in the comp and it reads them transfers them imports them just fine.

However a little later while working in Lightroom some of the pics just go blank. Restart the comp and they are fine..... Then later no.

I think my laptop is finally dying its an old HP 12GB Ram on a I5 chip 3 years old. Never has been great on speed sorta make an adjustment go get a snack come back type of thing.

So I am looking for a new Laptop.

Is it better to get 32gb of ram on a new I7 chip or 16gb ram and a video card

I’m sorry to hear about your mom. Wishing you all the best. I know what you mean about change of scenery. After living in a place, we tend to run out of things to shoot.

I like them all but I really like this one. Nailed it, Robert! This is with the little toy lens?

NM, I see that it is. Good copy this time? Poof is going to love it.

Yes Bill and thanks! Relief off my mind but as you know in the big picture it's not much.
Don't you have a thread for this lens? Post me a link if you want others to contribute over time, if not I understand.
You're darned right in that it is a gem among gems. I knew it had to be (if the good copy was found) because it's little
brother the 16-55G is also really nice.
