The E 70-350G works fine on the a9 too. Here's another with the 6400
and 70-350G.
Can't try with the Riv, it's tied up in the splash studio.

One day in WDW down. So far so good.

Eddie, I think I'm staying in the resort you stayed earlier this year. I recognize the pool.

That is very cool, both the setup and final result. How many flashes were used? I'm also curious if you were tethered to the laptop. I see you're using Imaging Edge software and it looks like the cord coming from the camera is to sync/fire the flashes. Are you using wi-fi to tether by chance? I can't tell where the USB cable coming from the laptop goes to know if that's how it's connected to the camera.

Hehe, knowing you, a serious scrutiny of the pic took place.
Yes there is one cable from the MJKzz 'brain' to the camera that triggers the shutter/flash (6 flashes total used on the final shot). Godox transceiver on top of camera remotely fires all flashes (its the transceiver Vinz got me to buy long ago and really like it). Although the MJKzz brain has a separate output to the godox transceiver (if I could find a cable long enough).
YES to wireless tethering via the Riv to the OneMix 3s Platinum, and have to save we LOVE this.

Historically we'd take a shot or 10 then chimp on the camera. Now there is instant (well not really instant, it takes a second for the image to show in the viewer) feedback on the changes we made (drop size, number of drops (up to 16 drops possible from each upper valve), delay between drops (one-two-16, doesn't matter). Also note the remote in Poof's hand. We could shoot from any room in the house, get feedback for yet another room.

I'm sure there is a way to go from the Imaging Edge Software to LR (which I don't use and know only on that about it and that is I don't like it) for quick crop/edits but haven't gone down that road yet.

Being able to see a numeric value on the brain is way better than the arbitrary spinning dials in the past (SplashArt). Another advancement that seems small but is huge is having the camera off the floor/tripod an onto the table/smaller tripod=no more having to walk around it and not bump it in any way.

Anyway the possibilities are endless Gene. We've not even begun the process of adding valve 1 and 3 upper and the real fun begins when we begin shooting a drop from below to collide with a drop from below. And a shot of Poof priming the valve from below to remove any air bubbles (I'm scheming a method of applying vacuum to the top of the bottle, placing the valve in purge mode, and 'pulling' the liquid up.

All that reminds me of artillery, and the science of projectiles...which is what all this really is. Here's from someone like you who loves to study the science behind the curtain-

Thanks for the extra details and explanations. I really didn't study your pullback too closely...but I do like the potato chip bag clips you used on the backdrop. :)

When I tried using wi-fi to connect wirelessly, I seemed to lose connection easily and the range seemed very limited. Of course, I only tried this once and want to have another go at it. I really like the idea of the flexibility that being tethered wirelessly affords.
