Yes, I will ignore sellers without a very strong rating. In fact there is a guy with only two feedbacks with one for sale, but I ignore those. For me people with zero or low feedbacks can do some buying first and develop a good history.

I might (still unlikely) consider someone with low feedbacks, but who has a strong familiar presence in the forum discussions. Lots of buyer/sellers never contribute anything in the photography/gear discussions.

I was about to ask .. about seling on FM lol.. I just signed up (new member)
I hate purposely looking for threads to participate in just to sell .. but I get that no one wants to buy from a guy with 1 post

so being new to fm.. seems to me you have to pay a membership fee to sell?

In the spirit of the passing of the iconic Adam West this week, here are a couple of shots I took at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum about six weeks ago.

They had a huge Batman display, which was a real treat. The bad part? The place was a cave.

Yes, a small fee, but worth it because they have a great feedback system as well as easy-to-use buy/sell template. Much better than here on POTN. The search functionality works very well as well.

One thing I'd look at with a member with a low number of feedbacks is general forum participation...and a great way to participate there is via the excellent FE image thread: http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1255248/2250 (external link)

Exactly. I've sold to some with 0, but only after vetting them properly. If you've been registered for say 4-5 years but haven't participate in the B&S then I don't think you'd be a scammer. Those who register that day or a few days earlier or who has like 10 posts I'm weary of. I think I've sold to maybe 3-4 people with 0, since you have to start somewhere. I'd never buy from someone who has 0 though, that's a huge no-no to me.

Very well said and couldn't agree more. :-)

ok thanks .. yeah I don't mind being active , as much as I'm active here.. ( I don't post as much as I read , even here)
but I've sold a lot in the past 3 years..
or what I consider a lot
canon 5d3,24-70,85mm, 14mm,, sigma 18-35
Panasonic gx8, 15mm,14-140
sony a6000, a6500
rl6000b
that what I can remember..
and I think I'm ready to sell in a7sii for an a7rii and sell some lenses for other lenses
I don't think potn has always gotten me the fairest returns .. or maybe I'm just too itchy to sell:-P

I'm excited, I get to meet a fellow Sony shooter from these forums for a local B&S tomorrow, too bad it's at work so probably can't sit around and talk gear for hours like I'd want to, lol. But being able to put a face to a name is always fun, especially when it's a fellow photographer and even better a fellow forum member.

First, congrats on the new camera. I suppose until you actually get a lens to put on it, you could always punch a very small hole in the body cap to make a pin-hole camera temporarily...a very fast pin-hole camera. ;-)a

Genius!

An a9 is scheduled to arrive on my stoop Monday.
Can I not use the LA-EA3 and the 70-400G2.
We also have the FE70-300G to experiment with until the FE100-400 is released.

This reminds me of something I said to self not too awe-full long, that if Sony could give up native 400mm
in e-mount I could leave Canon. So that process has begun. I do hope for an updated e-mount 400/4.5 or F4.

Oops, had a question and forgot.
Which card did you choose for the UHS-II slot?

Yes to the small fee.
Thanks to D.Arbogast I've been buying and selling there for over a year now; and knock on wood, so far nary a problem.

I just sold my 6D and bought a FE 70-200 in FM.

Have never had any issues there. Great feedback system.
