Lol I have a feeling my 2020 gas willl.be video game related. Cheaper than camera gear! Nintendo switch was a nice distraction in 2017 and 2018.

I'll probably grab both of the new consoles at launch but am favoring the playstation because of the first party titles. But I'm most stoked about the final fantasy vii remake dropping in march!

Can’t wait for the FFVII remake to release! Huge final fantasy fan. This I think will be a lot of people’s final PS 4 game purchase as we all move towards next holidays PS5 release.

Haven’t had an Xbox since the 360 but I’ll be getting the new one as well. I miss Gears of War, Halo and Forza. Glad to see we have some gamers in here!

First outing with the Edelkrone was...meh. Going out again in the morning and setting up differently and see if it is better...

Well this morning was even worse...its all going back...way too much money for it to not work...its jumpy, twitchy, glitchy and too finicky to be reliable...and that sucks.

Interesting could you elaborate?

Personally I think each image warrants a profile and white balance the photographer is trying to convey in that particular image.

One of my favorites for 2019

Yeah I kinda wish the ps5 were out by the time the remake hits as it will inevitably be rereleased on the ps5.

But yeah I love the Final Fantasy series. Not all of them are great, but at least each iteration is an original concept unlike other franchises which have been rehashing the same formula for years. Final fantasy XV is in my top 10 games of the decade. There is a lot wrong with the game...the story is incoherent at times and you can tell that they rushed the development of the latter half of the game, but the the open world in the first half was phenomenal and the main party characters were great.

First sunrise and hike of 2020. Happy new year to everyone!

I checked out another state park near me. Only issue is they don't open the main gate until 8 am which meant a 2 mile hike in and out. Unfortunately, I missed peak sunrise color at my final destination but I think I still managed to get a few keepers. For now here are some not so great videos.

Edit: Not sure why I can't embed videos here from Smugmug.

On the hike to my location. Nothing more frustrating than seeing the sky light up and not being in a good spot to capture it.

Arrived at my final location after a cold hike in.

It's a rainy day and I'm trying to do a self portrait for a contest. I'm not sure if I like this concept. Any opinions on this would be appreciated.

You bet. Basically it’s one of the Lightroom profiles and I like it better for landscapes. Adds more contrast to my raw file

Originally a simple lighting test, I used this bottle of Crown Royal as a substitute for what I plan on shooting later. I liked how it turned out so I uploaded it.

I think there just needs to be a POTN BB code for Smugmug or Flickr videos to be embedded. Hopefully, something for the future.

I really love all the layers of those tilted sedimentary rocks. I'm looking forward to seeing your photos of this area.
