Canadian Club is better :p

Looking forward to the other thing you were testing for.

I'm more of a scotch drinker myself. :-) I was interested in the squarish shape of the bottle for my lighting.

Once I get the bottle I want to shoot in later this afternoon...and I can keep my buddies away...I should be able to get a quick photo of it to share.

Personally I think each image warrants a profile and white balance the photographer is trying to convey in that particular image.

One of my favorites for 2019

Thank you. I think I got confused with the terminology as I do the same as well. Fantastic capture! And great username. One of the finest Italian road bike makers I’ve been lucky enough to race on!

Yeah I kinda wish the ps5 were out by the time the remake hits as it will inevitably be rereleased on the ps5.

But yeah I love the Final Fantasy series. Not all of them are great, but at least each iteration is an original concept unlike other franchises which have been rehashing the same formula for years. Final fantasy XV is in my top 10 games of the decade. There is a lot wrong with the game...the story is incoherent at times and you can tell that they rushed the development of the latter half of the game, but the the open world in the first half was phenomenal and the main party characters were great.

I have the same feeling. If they have waited this long why not just port it over to the PS5 yet if they did it would be another long wait lol

I agree with you on final fantasy. My favorite was VIII. It’s a polarizing version but I loved the story. One of my least favorite was X. The orb system allowing basically any character to become any class (and the simplification of the overall character/fighting system) was a big let down.

You bet. Basically it’s one of the Lightroom profiles and I like it better for landscapes. Adds more contrast to my raw file

Thanks I got confused on the terminology but I totally get what your saying now. I’ll give it a try myself.

I think there just needs to be a POTN BB code for Smugmug or Flickr videos to be embedded. Hopefully, something for the future.

I really love all the layers of those tilted sedimentary rocks. I'm looking forward to seeing your photos of this area.

Thank you Gene. It was an amazing place. Looking forward to seeing what I captured.

Looks awesome mate :)

Thanks Lee. It was great being out there alone. I left as soon as the crowd started to show up after 8 am. People were kind of looking at me funny as I hiked back on the road.

Originally a simple lighting test, I used this bottle of Crown Royal as a substitute for what I plan on shooting later. I liked how it turned out so I uploaded it.

Thanks. I hope you like this one too. This was more of a challenge than I expected. I added two additional lights and blended two exposures for the final image.

Great photo Gene, although I must confess a preference for Kentucky Bourbon over Tennessee Whiskey. Never developed a taste for Jack. :-P

That sucks Travis! I thought they were one of the best?!?

Supposed to be...and people are able to make good stuff with it...my wife has challenged me to not give up...that I need to try and learn it and not do anything else...last night and this morning, especially this morning I was trying to do too much and not miss good light...that makes me rush. I got it to work this afternoon in the house, but operator errors meant the sequence was no good...forgot to use MF and M mode...doh! So...at her challenge I am not done yet...

I'm not really a whiskey drinker either but I like to have a variety of adult beverages around for those times when company comes over. My bar has been a bit light on whiskey lately. I actually do like the Buffalo Trace Bourbon I got a while back...and one of my buddies really likes it too. ;-)a

I must have accidentally changed something in my settings and can' figure out what I did. I had the camera set to the rear dial was changing the shutter speed interdependently from everything else and the front dial was set to change the aperture. Now when I move the rear dial the aperture and SS are moving at the same time which is what I don't want. It's been driving me crazy and I can't figure out what I did that changed the rear and front dials. Any ideas? I know it's a simple solution but I can't figure it out Thanks.
