Thank you. I think I got confused with the terminology as I do the same as well. Fantastic capture! And great username. One of the finest Italian road bike makers I’ve been lucky enough to race on!

I knew I had to call into here with the weather conditions we had...... Really, I should have went more to the left & cropped out the gates but that was thick mud & I couldn't be bothered to put my hiking boots back on again...... But it's okay. I do like the overlapping hills & low cloud in the distance on the left.

Oh, tweaked signature too ;)

EDIT - Hmmmmmmm....... I think the text is a little too big for my liking...

Thats a great shot, how unfortunate for the gates.I have run into the same situation a great photo op and then and obstacle that cant be avoided . Kind of like your damned if you do and damned if you dont .

If you moved to the left I dont think it would be possible to include the entire drain fully as you do now, being a great element of the image

Took a drive south to the San Luis NWR. I took this as the morning fog from the San Joaquin River was burning off.

Since I already had a setup for bottles from yesterday, I decided to do another shot of Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon. This time, I placed two strip boxes on either side shooting through tracing paper diffusers. The light didn't taper off as I expected but I still thought it was worthy of uploading anyway.

I've uploaded this shot at the max 6144 pixels on the long side for those that might want a closer look.

Any insight on resale a9's? There doesn't seem to be many out there for sale. I know there wasn't much excitement about the mkII so I guess people are hanging on to them.

2 tons of friendly bull elephant seal gave me a smile today :-P Northern elephant seals spend most of their life at sea coming to shore only to molt and mate. Winter is mating season so they are showing up at Point Reyes in numbers. They dive to over 5 thousand feet and spend only minutes at the surface to take another breath. I'd want a long nap on the beach as well.

Got to do a little testing with the 105. These are pretty quick edits, but I am thrilled with what this lens is producing so far. All of these were at 1.4

Wonderful place to shoot especially at first light with some recent snow. The red rocks just popped from the white landscape.
