you going to upgrade to the a9ii?
Travis, no. I'm considering the R4.

I must be honest and it may be the operator but I have as good of luck on BIF with the R3 in wide focus mode as I do the a9 using tracking focus. Of course, the 20 fps continues to sit in the back of my mind stirring things up. I have too much time to think right now. Bill being Smug

(4 edits in all) | Jan 03, 2020 10:26 | #36169 Before I broke down my current lighting setup, I had to get another shot of my Aladdin Oil Lamp. Because this lamp is so tall, I took two images, one of them with me holding the foam core board background higher in order to stay behind the chimney and then blended the two images. I also had to extend the background on both sides in Photoshop. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/2i9qebMGene - My Photo Gallery ||

And I'm a little stuck on one initial thing.... Which adapter would be the best for EF lenses on the A7 please? Remembering, that I am on the ORIGINAL A7!! I'm not expecting super AF. I'm not even sure I need AF completely. But I have been finding myself wanting something longer for landscapes so more than likely tripod mounted. I'm weighing options (cost, size, filter size & weight) prior to the Tamron 70-180mm release. I can't speak to the original A7, but on the A7R2, R3, and R4, my go to adapter has been the Sigma MC-11. I also have a Metabones IV, but the MC-11 is 1/2 the cost of the MB and in most of my use, the MC-11 works just fine.

But if your using manual focus or dont care about quick AF then get a cheap Ebay version. I use one with a couple of manual focus lenses. Sony A9 ii, A9, RX100 vi, M11
