Taking a small break from editing red rock images to share this scene of a small frozen pond. I think it would make for one tough puzzle to assemble.

I realize that skin tones are very subjective though. I just thought I'd share what I perceive as far as skin tone.
xpfloyd wrote in post #18986257 I was scrolling on my phone there so get a proper look of the first version before I looked at the second. I actually really like the first version style. The second one looks more vibrant and natural I suppose having now seen the two of them but if I had only seen the first and thought you meant that style I would have liked it. Take what I say with a pinch of salt though as I don’t shoot portraits and don’t know what I’m talking about with them I appreciate the comment. Bianchi wrote in post #18986443 I dont think you cant go wrong with either, just depends what you or client is going after. I think you did a better job with the eyes on the second, and its more high fashion. Overall very nice work A couple favorite portrait tog's I follow for a little inspiration. https://www.flickr.com/photos/stevevuoso/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/sayeedsiddiqui/ thanks for sharing .. appreciate the comments

I always struggle with the amount of orange in skin tones.. either too much or too little .. but yours looks just right! I appreciate the comment. i like the look of the first one as well, as far as the mood i was going for .. although , if it were a filter i'd probably dial it back to about 60% today . if the shot was for a paying client i would most likely hand over option 2 .. and so lately , because I've been trying to push a bit more for paid work I've been trying to get better at editing in a way that most people would want .. and my guess is that she'd like number 2 better than 1.. my personal prefernace is for the way i origanlly .. but again today i'd probably dial it back a bit. thanks for sharing .. appreciate the comments Randall, if you do much paid work in portraiture, I highly recommend the Portrait Pro plugin. You can be as conservative or agressive as you want in your edits and it does a great job adjusting skin tones and lighting. I would advise you get the Studio version in order to work on raw files. The newest PortraitPro Studio version, 19, is $69.95. Gene - My Photo Gallery ||

Really, I should have went more to the left & cropped out the gates but that was thick mud & I couldn't be bothered to put my hiking boots back on again...... But it's okay. I do like the overlapping hills & low cloud in the distance on the left. Oh, tweaked signature too EDIT - Hmmmmmmm....... I think the text is a little too big for my liking... ![]() *** Jon
