Congrats. I don't know...it seems so broken...

Thank you Travis. Yes still a mess and their email from Smugmug CEO was kind of discouraging.

Final shot from my recent trip to Roxborough State Park. This one was captured on the long hike back. I just wanted to document the winter landscape to remind me of this trip.

Sorry for all the computer chat guys but I have another query for you all - is anyone using Acronis True Image as their backup/cloning software? Are there any better alternatives?

On my Mac I’ve got a great backup setup but switching back to PC has meant I need to rethink things. I don’t have cloud backup and don’t want it at the moment

I tried acronis...it seems more tailored to cloning bootable backup disks which isnt necessarily what I wanted.

When I switched from my macbook pro to the surface book I tried several software's to find something similar to carbon copy. Lightweight, automated but simple way to back up directories that I choose.

bvckup 2 pro fit the bill for me

Paul that's a beautiful series.
That squirrel shot is a beauty.
How it's crown jewels don't get spiked is amazing.

The lower one is a lovely bird.
Very nice.

Thank you that was the "least" exposed pic of its "Nuts". There were two of them in the bush and have no clue how they manage the thorns....... a third was in a separate mesquite tree about 25 feet away keeping watch for them.

store all of your applications on one drive, data on another. There are apps like syncback, you can use to backup your data to a NAS. if you're OS goes down, you can do a system restore. There's also a way to migrate your full image into another computer entirely (will need to install drivers separately), so cloning is not necessary, windows has it's own system image, which you should capture and put on your NAS in case you need to access it.

Fantastic. Love love love the leading road to mystery. Just a beautiful scene and what I dream of. I know many fantasize about beaches and palm trees. Me, its mountain snowy vistas.
Glad you moved!

Gene, for what I see.. for the most part they do look identical. but what I see different that tells me no are the eyes. Your great grandfather has a double eyelid while the other doesnt show.

Interesting observation, thanks. I wish the image on the left was better quality but it is what it is. My first thought was the person on the left might be my grandfather but the more I looked at this photo next to my great grandfather, I began to wonder if they were actually the same person.

Robert, very nice of you to say. I too am drawn to these types of scenes. I wish I would have stopped on my hike in when the light and color was popping but then perhaps I would have been late in grabbing the light at my final location. Thank you!

That last image of the red rocks made it on Flickr explore. Do y’all think there is still hope for Flickr?

Congrats!

I think that depends on Flickr! I made the argument that if they want help, they need to make more changes. They promised to fix explore and give priority to pro users but haven’t changed it yet.

They also can’t decide if the want to be a storage site for images or a community for photographers. I pretty much only use Flickr and don’t like IG so I do hope they survive, I just feel with Smugmug putting up the price so much they really need to justify it with more changes.

Well, the malt vinegar I've been curious about arrived today, along with a bottle of Heinz Salad Cream. I'm looking forward to trying both and have a couple of other grocery items from the UK I'd like to try as well. I think today, I'll do a comparison between the standard local grocery store malt vinegar with Sarsons using them on some french fries.

This is for your OS or the data? I just started working with Cloudberry software for local backup to an external USB drive. There are other softwares which will clone etc but you want a backup software so in case local files are deleted or corrupted you can go back to the previous version. I also keep a copy of my stuff on multiple hard drives and a NAS but only started doing this backup this week.

For OS, I keep two SSDs, one active, one backup. In case of problem, unplug one and plug in the backup. That reminds me I need to update my backup and worry about updating as I am still on Windows 7.
