You probably have the exposure compensation set to ambient and flash. This is the default setting. I set exposure compensation to ambient only as the default setting will screw up TTL

yep..they are both set that way...gonna see what that changes.

In other news...I give up on the Edelkrone...B&H has already approved the return...indoors it works pretty good...outside...not so much, and I want to use it outside...I might add a little Syrp Genie to still do timelapse pans...but for the most part...not gonna fool with it...deciding now if I want an A73 or the 16-35GM...

are you sure it's not the IR Remote setting? That keeps your camera on, and it wont shut off

IR remote was turned off at the time. I also had BT, WiFi off too.

An image from the Smokies this past fall...this spot in fall typically has very little water so it was nice to have just enough to make an image out of it. 3 image focus stack, I also applied "Enhance Details" to all 3 frames.

Love how those leaves contrast against the rest of the frame.

I thought that little warmth against the cold rocks was a good foreground element.

these are more city "snapshots" more than they are street photography.. as I try to ease my way back in..

14mm.. not easy on the streets for people btw.

took the sigma 14-24 for a short walk after work

i'm using LR's "auto" feature to straigten out the image.. some times it works better than others

Nice shots! It’s not everyone’s preferred style but you considered using your 85mm for street?

I was off today so I drove an hour to another state park to do some scouting and shooting. The morning started off with some blue skies but quickly turned to snow which made for some fun hiking and shooting. Snow is still very new to me. Prior to moving to Colorado, I really only seen a handful of times. Still trying to figure out how to embed video from Smugmug here.

I don't think you'll be able to embed video from Smugmug unless a bbcode is added to allow that.

Thanks Gene. That's too bad. I updated my post with a Youtube link.

This one was a big score for me. I only get to see n.Harriers when traveling far from home. Last year at Bosque and this one on the Nov-Dec. trip to the mid-Atlantic, Fowler Beach Maryland.

amazing capture! I have this same combination in addition to the a9, and for some reason, I just can't get any good shots with it with my R4, I always end up going back to the a9 (for birds in flight, that is).

I must be doing something wrong... maybe settings I have to figure out. I actually started thinking maybe it simply can't AF fast enough because it's at F9 with the 1.4x TC and was thinking of trying it withOUT the TC... but seeing that you were able to capture this image of a bird in flight perfectly, makes me think that the theory is wrong.
