Found a new wetlands on the edge of Phoenix. I'm not pulling the sharp shots i need to work on my BIF and settings

But I chased a Harrier for an hour and finally got a bit of a shot of it.... Those things are big but hang so low in the reeds.

"wetlands on the edge of Phoenix" is a phrase I never expected to hear about that city. :-)

An interesting interaction of light and shadow along a rock wall at Zabriskie Point. I wish I could make a return visit in February but the timing isn't right. I know Travis will capture some amazing images there.

Eriet really awesome work! Harriers are super tough for me so I know the effort you put in there. The Sapsucker is gorgeous. The Heron reflection 10 star! BUT the Cormorant is killer!!

This isn't a traditional Brit breakfast I know but more in line with what I like. I used HP sauce on the steak potatoes and put the Sarson's on the table on a whim. I should have put the sauce on the potatoes before I took the shot. Oh well, next time.

I should note that I really liked the back bacon. It tastes like the thick cut bacon from pork belly that I'm used to, just with a lot more lean and less fat.

Back bacon is my fav too. We get smoked and unsmoked here (I like smoked) and it comes either thick cut or normal (I prefer the thinner one). In the west of Scotland we call bacon on buttered bread a “piece and bacon” :)

Edit - any sandwich at all is called a piece.

I do like seeing these. Mainly because I know that I don't have the patience for it!

I did manage to get out for sunset last night though. I needed it....

My first bangers and mash. Well, I've had mashed potatoes many times but this is the first time for British style bangers. I'd say they have a smoother texture inside and are very mild. The casing was 'crunchier' than I expected and I liked them.

Waaay off topic but my sister just sent this and I had to share. I hope no one minds.

This photo postcard from my great aunt was sent to her husband in 1912. On the back, it reads "I had a dinner party last night of which this is a photo. I got very tired of my company I can assure you".

Photo manipulation from 108 years ago.

The postcard is from the White Way Photo Studio, 1341 Broadway, New York. Apparently, they specialized in this style of photography.

Thought about posting another Harrier, but too close to Eriet's, so another splash. We took splash in a different direction
the other night....can splash be minimalistic? Why not :) After looking at many variations of splash on various splash forums over
the years I've noted several genres. But I've not seen many of these-
