"Fearless"

I was quite fortunate to have captured 3 brave skiers up on the side of the mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park. They had skied from the top minutes earlier. My jaw dropped when I saw then descend down that slope. Fearless was the word that came to my mind. Thankfully no avalanches that morning.

FE 55

Over the top good! The skiiers really set the scale. Get this one printed and on the wall.

Timing is everything in this sport. We're not quite there though. Have the timing down but need to work on trajectory (new nozzles on way) and the drop size and the
consequential height of the Worthington jet.
But we are now working with three drops from above. After we get those three liking us we'll bring back the shoot from below nozzle.

Awesome. Now you just need to add something a bit 'starry' to the background. ;-)a

Been trying to search for posts on large eyecups. I remember Robert and Gene talking about them last year. Any info would be appreciated. I use teardrop-shaped ones due to wearing glasses but would like to try a regular shape that is larger than the standard size. R3 and a9mkI. Thanks.

You'll like them but there are times when I don't see everything on the screen unless I tilt my head (while eye is against the eyecup) or push the eye into the eyecup
with a bit of force. No pain though.

I have not had any issues with the way I shoot...I wear glasses, so these help provide a little cushion to my glasses on long days of shooting...I still rarely shoot without my eye to the viewfinder...if I ever have a spot where I can't get an eye level view, that is when I use the rear LCD and flip it out to see it...

Looks like great fun, except for the hike up.

I watched them hike up and it took a while for them to reach higher elevation. They used an interesting technique of side stepping.

Thank you sir! I really appreciate it. I may have to do that. Looks really nice on my large monitor.

Wow, thank you Travis! That means a lot my friend. It's one of those scenes that I dreamed of capturing for so long. I was lucky with the weather clearing up at the right time.

I'm not sure if this one is as large as the one Travis got but I bought two of them because they are deeper than the original eyecup. They keep my nose off the LCD screen too. :-)

I got that one too Gene. The only issue I have is my rear display turns off. I think the eyecup is triggering the sensor to switch to the electronic viewfinder.

I have not really had that issue. But, I also have the auto switch turned off most of the time...but even still when auto is turned on I don't experience that.
