Being the bag whore that I am...I bought the Mindshiflt BackLight 45L Elite for DV next month....My dad is going and he is a miser and was considering putting his gear in a Pelican and checking it...so I am going to let him use the 36L to make sure he doesn't check his gear...and I will use the 45L....it has room for stuff other than camera gear, which is needed on a trip like that....

I got that one too Gene. The only issue I have is my rear display turns off. I think the eyecup is triggering the sensor to switch to the electronic viewfinder.

Interesting. I haven't experienced that, or any issues with mine so far.

It was so overgrown here to get a half decent angle for this shot.....!!

I LOVE moss covered trees. And the contrasting orange bracken, soft light on the right & the left gap showing the uniform conifers.....

I was thinking apart from seagull practice nothing would turn up then I got a chance with this Heron flyby while testing my new 1.4 TC .
This camera really does help you get the shots it's unbelievably fast and accurate makes it a joy to go out with it.

Great image!

We get a lot of moss here too. Shooting it in that kind of lighting is an ephemeral challenge, much like sunlight on ferns in a redwood forest.

Thanks Both. October was the last time I went to that woodland. It was good to be back!

Love this Lee.

There is something about moss covered trees, and you bought it all together for that shot. Great work. Will you consider printing?

And thanks also for the info about the mendips, and the MW pic over chew valley lake!!

So as much as I love the 16-35mm GM, I think I may sell it.

I’ve always wanted all primes and the price of it is still hurting my wallet. I’m thinking of replacing it with the 24mm GM and the Samyang 18mm f/2.8 as a real light weight travel kit.

"Frozen Lake"

I stepped onto the ice cautiously calculating each step knowing that under all this ice was a lake. It was surreal. I remember the faint crackling sound as I moved forward into position to get this foreground leading back to the mountains. Dream Lake is what this lake is called. Sure felt like a dream being out there.
