It's amazing reflecting on our gear with a historical perspective. I'm handhold shooting my 135mm and getting tack sharp images at 1/30. Imagine trying to do that back in 2012 with a 5D III and a EF 135mm f/2L.

QUOTED IMAGE

i like how you capture the scenic in this one.

In March Poof and I brought back 24K files from Florida, most will never see the light of day.
So bored and going through the hard drive looking for forgotten and undeveloped. Here's one
from Kaktovik-

From the trip a couple of weeks ago, on a sunset cruise, out the back of the boat as we went under the Mighty Mac Bridge...no better way to get a good view of what was at one time one of the longest suspension bridge in the world. It is still in the top 20 IIRC.

I am amazed every time what colors are visible in these files...I don't remember the Canon picking up on so much...I just love it.

In other news, I had a proposal accepted yesterday for some architectural work for a developer...and then last night a client from last year wants to do new family pictures again this year, but doesn't want posed and staged...so I am going to try to come up with something more candid, documentary style instead...should be fun.

I really really really hate insomnia. vmad It is my greatest health issue. Today Alfredo and I had scheduled a meetup in downtown ATL that I was looking forward to and now I am unable to drive anywhere because I still haven't had even 1-minute's sleep since Thursday night. It's disabling and disappointing.

So very sorry Alfredo...don't give up on me, we'll get together before you leave town yet. :)

I did drag myself to the Post Office just now (wife drove me) and shipped off the Tamron 35mm to it's new owner. This marks the first time since I started digital photography that I don't own a Canon camera or Canon-mount lens. Wow.

Now to bed to try to find that elusive sleep.

Don't lose any sleep over it David. Seriously, get some rest. I'm planning to check out a covered bridge about two hours away later this afternoon. Should be interesting. I did some shooting late evening yesterday around me near a small lake and got some keepers. This area that you and Travis live in is just beautiful. I'm used to seeing all these tall trees around and the parks here are so nice. The one thing that feels like home though is the heat. Haha!

Congrats on being Canon free! I'll probably keep my metabones adapter in case I get the Canon tilt shift lens.

Travis, I'm sorry again I couldn't make it to your photo club speech. We got off work so late.

Loving the original A77 file!!! Amazing capture!

Mickey that was so long ago :(
Speaking of the a77, the a77ii went with the a99ii to the new owner, my personal physician took
it all. He's my beekeeping buddy so I'm sure to get a lot of questions. What sold it was I took
a picture of him sitting inside the house as ISO 25K, processed it in front of him in PScc and he
was amazed to get a useable image. He was shooting with a 10+ year old Nikon that capped him
at ISO 800!!

can anyone tell me why all of a sudden my stitched panos are uploaded to Flickr are not as sharp as the original on my Mac? I had to get a new computer and the display is crazy sharp but still...the pano shots are noticeably softer when put on Flickr...actually unusable.
Thanks

Edit.....one thing that has changed is that I cannot seem to add my Flickr account to this iMac in order to quickly publish from photos. I have to drop and drag into the Flickr site uploader. Maybe this is a prob. I've searched the net and this seems to be a prob with Mac. Wasn't an issue with my last machine but this one is giving me issues.

Sorry for off "Sony" topic but thought you folks might have some thoughts.
Thanks

Cory
