That looks to be a significant upgrade to the Gitzo base !, How does the weight compare between the two?
The Markins base is just slightly lighter than the Gitzo but such an improvement in quality. It’s machined out of one solid piece of metal.

All
Anyone using the Canon 17mm TSE on a Sony body? I have the 24TSE for years but sold it at one point, was always interested in purchasing the 17 but the cost was ridiculous so I never did. Recently came across a used copy at a really great price and I'm now reconsidering it again.
It would be primarily used for architectural work and almost exclusively for shift. I have some concerns about corner sharpness of this lens when shifted however so if you can comment on it it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I haven’t bought the 17mm TSE but would like to one day when I get back into commercial architecture. I love the Canon 24mm. You do lose a bit of sharpness when shifted to extreme.

The subtle color contrast of the muted orange peaks against the steel blue gray sky is spectacular. Incredible Alfredo.

Thank you David! Appreciate it. I think this one or the other vertical one would make a nice print.

Almost bought a FLM leveling base, but what I didn't like was it didn't come with a level. A leveling base without a level. Didn't make much sense to me. You have to buy the level additionally that fits in a slot on side of leveling base.
So I went with the RRS leveling base with built in level, (one piece) but Kirk makes the identical leveling base. Hindsight, I prefer the way you loosen and tighten the level base on the FLM over the RRS or Kirk. .
I am a fan of FLM but agree that is one minor annoyance.
