Gene, I send them out to get printed. I use a company called Loxley Colour and the prints are always good quality. My personal preference is 'Lustre' finish with a 1/4" white border all around. I feel that prints that dont have a border just look unfinished or something, or more like a snapahot (personal preference thing). I considered getting a printer previously but when I realised the cost saving wasnt that much I decided I couldnt be bothered with the hassle

EDIT - Maybe having a printer would mean I would do it more often though!

I've got the big photo printer from Canon, and I tend to use it strictly for my kids homework assignments, and the occasional photo prints that I need to do right away. When printing in bulk, I'm sending to costco, it will end up costing less and hassle free. I've played the continuous ink systems, and even had both the printers Gene has :-P, upkeep is too troublesome. I had to throw away a big ol epson last year (used for school work), ugh, home printers are so bothersome. Premium paper and ink are so expensive, and if a print is botched due to streaking, that's on me..... no thanks, I'll let the store deal with those issues.

Stopped by my favorite winery in probably all of California today, and my buddy Westdale, the official Kokomo Winery dog (Healdsdburg California), was a bit tuckered out, and taking a break on the cool concrete floor.

Found the Cormorant on the long walk (10 miles reported by Endomondo) at Circle Bar B Reserve (where you can walk seemingly forever).

Wow, for a moment, I thought it was a bronze statue, a very realistic one. Then I scrolled down and saw the rest of the image. Fantastic capture.

Nah as I don’t want to spend a lot for a second body and honestly the high ISO of the original A7S is more than enough to mitigate IBIS loss. Funny you mentioned David A as he had commented on my “High Iso” shot image below from 5 years ago on Flickr :) . Shot at a then impressive 12,800 iso straight raw to jpeg. Now that I look at it this still looks amazing. It’s the 12 mp on full frame. Just really love it lol

I remember this pic too. was hoping to see more from you. you're making me think about the a7s too lol. it's sad to see the used market for it is super low but affordable for those who wants to pick it up.

Thanks all. I've got one more variant of that Cormorant in the series I'll get to one day.

Looking at it closely, to my eye it's slightly off, maybe a degree or so to the left.

Finally had my first shoot with my new Sony a7 III yesterday. Ironically, I don't think this is the kind of photos that I can even post in this thread!

In any case, looking at the photos I shot (with the 35 & 85), it seems like the vast majority are not only in focus, but are so sharp that I'm applying de-sharpening to them in post, not something I do very often...

That being said, the camera did not feel very 'responsive', where I often couldn't tell whether my photos were going to be in focus or not (with Eye AF, principally in situations where I was shooting wide, all the time in relatively dark rooms). Couldn't track them down during the shoot, so I can't compare to what I actually got, but it seems like more are in focus than the time where I didn't get proper confirmation of focus. Anyone else has had that kind of experience?
