OK, guys. I've been contemplating a telephoto lens for my a7iii but have really mixed feelings about the Sony FE 70-200 G f2.8. It's really expensive but this is not the biggest issue. I used to shoot with the Canon 70-200 F2.8 l IS mkii and it was a fantastic lens but big and heavy. I'm looking for something I can shoot some distant objects with, an occasional bird or maybe some landscapes or cityscapes as love the compression of that lens and the fact that it was fast and had IS. But my major objective now is to have a light lens as I can't cope with the weight of anything as heavy as that Canon beast. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Wait for the tamron 70-180mm f2.8.

Yep, hoping for it to be released soon. Rumors have been around for a while.

What rumors? Tamron Canada's website says Spring 2020, which technically could be as late as mid-June.

I love seeing these old buildings. If you eve visit Wales, check out Caerphilly castle, Van Mansion and St. Fagans, which is now the Natural Museum of Wales. Van Mansion is a private residence so you may have to use a longer lens. :-)

We done a lot of work at St Illans (I think!) School just along from Caerphilly Castle. I didn't do the full install, but did go to site a few times to finish things off. My girlfriends mum is originally from there.

Random but who are the best Sony photographers to follow on YouTube? I’ve been on a YouTube binge lately and realized I should follow some who shoot with the camera system we use lol

I only really follow landscape, hiking type of people and off the top of my head..... Simon Baxter, Gavin Hardcastle, Nick Page shoot Sony mirrorless.

Mark Denney is another good one I follow. I believe Albert Dros is another Sony shooter but he doesn’t post much on YouTube.

A friend of mine likes an old photo of mine that I took from the beginning of the road that leads to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. This is made of three exposure, three portrait orientation images merged as an HDR panorama. I made this print for him today using my Canon Pixma Pro-100 on Canon Pro Luster paper.

My signature is on this image and not on the print itself. I'll handwrite that on later.

Oh it’s an insurance company right? I had to look up the location to figure out which street I was on when I took it haha.

I like Dustin Abbot. He shoots both Sony and Canon and his reviews are always really good and free from bias! When it comes to reviews, I personally prefer people who shoot multiple brands as you know brand bias won’t play as much of a part in their recommendations.
