I don't watch comics. I like real stuff like 'Walking Dead' ;)

Love the walking dead, although I’m still to catch up with the latest season

Coming up with something new is a challenge...I have a few things in the pipeline that have been requested here locally, so I have a couple of things coming, but after that...if this shelter in place is still going, I am going to have to start getting creative...I can see doing a couple of bag or gear reviews just to fill some time until I can get out to shoot legitimately.

Yeah it's good to have a timeline of sorts of what you want to make. I didn't know it until it was too late but when you start a new podcast, there is an 8 week period on iTunes that if you get enough traffic you can be featured for new and upcoming podcasts. Most people record a whole bunch of episodes to release in advance whereas I just released 1 in like 3 months LOL.

In isolation my daughters are making magic in the kitchen. The Wonton noodles were absolutely amazing.

I really find the Sigma 24 f/1.4 ART to be a stellar performer ever since the new firmware update 7+ months ago. AF just isn't laggy now.

Did they make the noodles from scratch? I have been looking for a good recipe.

Lovely light Travis. Calm defined.

And calm it was, it was just what I needed. Glad I went yesterday, it is raining today despite the forecast saying it wasn't going to rain today.

Reminds me of when I was a kid. Grandma would watch me, my brother and all our cousins while our parents worked....7 of us total. She would put us to work by making us roll a sh!tload of wontons and lumpia (filipino pork eggrolls) lol.

I would of thought he might have tried the GFX50 after discovering the issue for his kind of shooting with the big brother.

You mentioned your able to shoot portrait and landscape with your GFX50, does it have the same issue with shallow DOF as the GFX100?

Do you have to use the in camera function for image stacking for your landscape, or can you use it like one would with a non medium format camera?

Does the GFX100 also that the in camera function for image stacking?

Any particular reason's you prefer the 50GFX over your A7rIV

Enjoying your culinary skills ;-)a

I see no problems with shallow DoF. The fastest Fuji GF prime is 110mm f2. That is equivalent to something like 85mm f1.6. The longer focal length also gives a little bit different look than say FF. I am looking forward to 80mm f1.7 coming next year. I have used my 85mm f1.2 on GFX giving me f0.95 something.

Landscapes, like I said, I am total rookie but few shots I did, there are no special issues that you won't have on FF either. You need more DoF, you stop down or better yet use the proper lens, like TSE lenses and align the plane of focus to where you want to focus. Fuji MF lets you stop down more without diffraction compared to FF.

Image stacking is both on GFX50s and GFX100. I haven't used it as I am mostly portrait shooter,

Reasons to prefer GFX:-

1. The camera/lens even though bigger feels so much better in your hands. I am small person (I should add handicapped person) so I care for less size/weight but also at the same time ergonomics are also important to me. Before A7rIV, I didn't like Sony cameras. You stick 85mm f1.4 and it is hard to hand hold A7rIII and shoot comfortably. On Fuji, I got manual dials that I like. I like flip screen which also flips in portrait mode. Why does my Sony A7rIV not do it? I stick my GFX in portrait mode, low to the ground and can shoot very easily. It is pain for me when using A7rIV in similar situation. It is not just me. I see all students in my classes at my work going through same.

2. I like rear LCD on GFX a lot more. I want to zoom, I can pinch/zoom like on my phone. And this is 3 year old camera. I can flip through shots just as easily. I can review shots in portrait mode or landscapes mode. Try zooming in on a shot on A7rIV.

3. Lot less issues with trigger if using Fuji. I still can't get PW Plus IIs to work on Sony. Godox eTTL trigger work, I must say. I finally got Sony to tether with Capture One and have Live View. Looks like most Sony shooters are natural light shooters. Fuji is more studio work.

4. Pictures, colors. For some reason I like shots from GFX50s more. There is something in the final output which is hard to describe. The tonal variations in skin etc are so smooth. Sony A7rIV has higher MPs but to me GFX50s files look better.

The meat inside was tenderized seasoned pork, prawns and egg as a combiner. So simple but was really delicious :)

Bobby, even the Fuji aps-c RAW files are very rich with depth. Minor tweaks in LR the file output is incredible. The Sony A73 RAW files in RAW form is anemic in comparison and is not lush at all. This is where my observation with the Sigma 24-70 f/2.8 ART has been something special. The Sigma's render is typically a tad more rich looking than my GM16-35 f/2.8. In Fujifilm aps-c world the thicker rich look is normal and consistent with little post processing. Fuji GFX will not stray far from the science inside the Fuji bodies.

If Fuji produces a UWA equivalent to a FF 16-35 f/2.8 I will start to really consider Fuji again. At this moment in 2020 I demand responsive AF which the GFX50S just missed that mark. The GFX100 is just toooooo darn bulky for me and it's not cheap!! If there was a GFX100 mini "me" or same size as GFX50S, UWA, 24 f/1.4 equiv this will be something I'd consider. If Fuji developed a well rounded FF system I'd be buying all of it like a hungry kid in a candy store!! I fully admit I was a complainer and dark cloud when I used the Fuji aps-c. If Fuji developed FF system with exact magical files, 35mm sensor shallow dof and big lens lineup I'd be extremely happy. Too bad Fuji says "NO" in full frame.

I've read from a Sony shooter that just loves his Sigma 105 f/1.4 and it gives him a feel of when he shot with Canon and 200 f/2 prime. Sony does have a special spot in the camera world in a massive beast system and a many 3rd party supporters. What is happening now is that every manufacturer is going full throttle in R&D and hardware to compete.

I used the A73 with Sig 24-70 ART at a historical museum.

I used my Sigma 24 f/1.4 Art prime. I have a sweet spot in the 24mm FL. When I've compared the GM24 to the Sigma 24 f/1.4 ART the image quality is virtually identical for my style and application. I'm not justifying such claims because I own the Sigma. I've been on the fence for a while now in buying the GM24mm. There are reasons I really want the GM24mm. I want smaller form factor, customized button. The AF on the Sigma bothered me but now...... it's extremely responsive with no hint of "man I wish it would focus faster".

Bokeh on this lens is fantastic. The lens heavier than Sony but not a deal breaker. The Sony is still a better lens but if I'm going to spend 1899 (2126 incl tax) I'd rather spend it on a Canon R5 projected to be around $4500 CDN. I'll be able to use my Canon 24L f/1.4 mk2 (and all of my Canon L glass). The Canon 24Lmk2 is another lens I love a lot. I do feel my Sigma 24mm has better bokeh than my Canon 24Lmk2.

Episode 02 is up now! It is a little longer than Episode 01, but this one covers my Post PRoduction workflow from start to finish on a single image. So it takes a little longer. Grab a glass of your favorite drink of choice, maybe a bowl of popcorn and enjoy!
