So much good about this Travis, awesome shot

Thank you sir. The person walking out there turned out to be David Kingham. https://www.davidkingham.com/ (external link) I later met him when he walked back over to the middle, he was there with his workshop group. Also met his wife Jennifer Renwick. Nice people.

That's insane! How do you even manage to stay on the SUP in those rapids?

It’s not easy at all! There’s quite a bit of swimming involved to start! ;-)a

What’s great is that despite being a very experienced whitewater kayaker the easy stuff becomes really challenging! It opens up some new options for the runs I’ve done a million times!

I've been going back and forth for months as well, with the Tam 17-28 thrown in there too. Not planning on buying anything for a while, so it isn't a pressing issue, yet I convince myself each day that one of the three is right for me. It's torture. I have a huge gap in focal lengths right now as I only have a 14, 50, and 105mm.

Pretty much the same here... warmed up on the 20G, but still not sure if the Tamron trio (right now I'm thinking if I buy one I'd seek to acquire all three) is right for me. Still not rushing into anything right now, since the usefulness of a wider angle would be limited for the time being.

I think they do. She was much more talkative than he was...and she even knew who I was, which I wasn't sure I believed her...sometimes people say that to be nice...I knew her name and work, had been following them both on IG for a while. They both came up in my trip planning for the 2019 trip to DV. I have tried out that NPN site, but just have not been able to get into it...not sure why.

In other news, Monday I found a good deal on an MC-11 adapter on FM, it arrived today. It is much lighter than the Metabones. The MC-11 also has a much larger opening, I am wondering if that might be better for the TSE lenses that tend to have really dark edges as you get too close to the limits of shift. I will take it and the a9 up to my parent's with me this weekend and see if the old 400 f/5.6 that my dad has works better on the MC-11...it didn't work at all on the MB adapter. But having this new one means that my beloved 135L is back in business.

NPN takes a while to get used to. It’s more focused on image critiques and not so much showcasing your images. No self promotion. Refreshing I think.

Let me know how the MC11 works out. Still love my 24mm TSE. Miss shooting with it.

I probably need to give it more time...I thought this whole sheltering in place thing was going to leave me with a lot of free time, but that has not been the case. Between trying to still work 40 hours a week, be the teacher for my daughter and work on house projects, I am tapped out. We have another 8 days of school after today...should be interesting to see what happens after that.

Regarding the MC-11 and TSE, once this whole COVID thing slows down and I can get back to Hilton Head, I have to shoot that project. both the 17 and 24 will be in use...I will report back.

Definitely more space than I imagined and the layout looks nice!

Im 6'4" and I am not uncomfortable inside ...... other than my calves hang over the edge of the bed. Wife and I its ok add the dog and well 3 is a bit too much.

I like that it is 5 feet wide so same width as the jeep but with the "outback" edition it sits tall and so in wind it is a bit scattered in tow.

Since my Iceland trip was cancelled due to Coronavirus I have been planning an adventure to do after lockdown is lifted. I wanted to do something in Scotland as I imagine after lockdown their will still be restrictions in international travel for a while.

So I have decided to cycle the "Hebriddean Way" which is a 185 mile trip covering 10 islands in Scotland's Western Isles and also includes 6 causeways and 2 ferries!

Should be a good opportunity for some nice photos as the scenery is lovely up there.

If anyopne is interested here is the route - https://www.visitouterhebrides.co.uk …et_V2_SCREEN_FINAL(1).pdf (external link)

And here is a page talking about the individual sections - https://www.visitscotland.com …ridean-way-cycling-route/ (external link)

Scotland and some other areas are on my target for the replacement trip on the Viking Cruise we had canceled in June.

I'd love to visit Wales and Scotland but I don't think that's in the cards at this point.

The last test image I shot yesterday was heavily backlit. I'm very impressed by the dynamic range of Ilford's HP5 Plus film. Although it didn't seem to make much difference, I scanned this one using SilverFast SE Plus's Mulitple Exposure mode where it makes two scans and merges them to increase the dynamic range.

I also did a lot of editing back in Photoshop too.

I promise I won't post any more images from these test shots. :-)

Here is an unpublished image from Zabriskie Point that I recently finished editing. Lots of dodging and burning on this one. I wanted to emphasize the light and transition from dark foreground to light background.
