CZ80-200/4 once again. I think this was nearer to 200mm than 80mm

100% crop - I remember focusing on those bare branches.

Cory and others, I am starting to research mountain bikes. The weather is beautiful now in Denver and I would love to hit some trails. First time mountain biker so I am looking for something for the novice rider. I know the top end bikes cost more than $5K but maybe somewhere under $1000 would be ideal for me. Thank you.

Do you have an REI nearby? For entry level mountain bikes that are pretty well built, their REI CoOP brand is nice. We bought 2 last year. I have done my fair share in the past and didn't want to spend big bucks right now. Have been very happy with the bike.

Thanks Travis. Yep we have one close to us. Will check out their inventory online.

Alfredo, I cycle a lot but it’s on a road bike. I’ve also been looking at mountain bikes recently as I want to start doing trails etc. This is one of the ones I’ve been looking at, not sure the availability in the states though

One thing that has been fun to watch during all this disruption of our lives over the last couple of months has been the building of a hummingbird nest over my front porch. Today I was greeted with a wonderful sight. The next is under the roof overhang so it is almost always in the shade and tough to get, especially when limited to f9, but still :-) Hopefully I can get some better quality shots over the next week or so.

First Tammy 70-180 photos. AF is fast. Lens is sharp. Bokeh is good. Rendering is pleasant. I think it s a winner.

Just finished editing this one from my 2019 Death Valley trip. Sunset was a beautiful one at this cracked mud tile location. Notice the coyote prints in the foreground.

Hope you’re not using it with an a7RIV. Based on reports, there seems to be an issue with that lens and body. A9 is no problem. Did you see that new video by Steve Perry? Excellent tutorial for shooting birds.

I keep reading those reports at FM too.
For some reason I haven't had those problems.

Does anyone here have first hand experience of the Samyang/Rokinon 85 f/1.4 AF Sony lens?

I cant decide between the FE85 1.8 and the 85GM and now this has caught my attention. Apologies if its been discussed before

EDIT - Then theres the Sigma - Too many choices :D (although that one is massive!)
