Yes , I was ready for s1h , panasonic is too stubborn about not changing its AF method.
Love my fujis for photos but for video they need alot of work with AF , well I think ots the lenses not so much the new bodies , and the stepping in auto iso even for home videos is annoying..
Sony a7s3 seems like everything i need when video is primary and photos are secondary and a flip screen!
Anyway , my preorder is in. 24th of Sept seems so far away now.
Starting to get a little silly how many times I've been in and out of sony..lol

Oh well..yolo

I'm going to do my best to wait for the christmas sales, this camera checks all the boxes minus stacked sensor (kind of a big box)
I was using the Tamron 28-200 for video last week, and I'm extremely happy with the quality of that lens. With the dual iso capability discovered on this camera (Gerald undone found ISO 16000 as the second base ISO), I'm sold on this.
4K 120 takes 45 minutes to overheat.... and only 1 minute to cool down for another 15 according to Max? 1080 120 is my guilty pleasure, and what I really want to upgrade. 4K 60 has been nice, but it doesnt hit the sweet spot of 120.... I'm so glad Sony is copying Panasonic style menus and MF/AF trick. No compromised audio in higher frame rates, that sony has always been good at (not so good on canon and panasonic), and ultra slick codec selection is head and shoulders above canon and panasonic from what I can tell.
the sheer usability aspect of the camera is why I went with Panasonic for video, and it's certainly excellent, and still better in some ways.... however, it does appear Sony has reclaimed much of that, while giving far superior technical abilities such as low light, DR, autofocus, and lens selection. Gerald undone and Max yurev have extremely comprehensive tech specs if you're into that thing.
