First day of the year and I got out of bed at 4:45am, took shower, coffee, drove 1 hr and 15mins to Capitola Beach. There weren't any clouds so just normal sunrise but atleast it wasn't cloudy. Later, I will upload the few shots that I took.

I had a lie in. I'd done 3 sunrises out of 4 mornings this week including a good 5 miles or so hike/walk each day. I went back to the snow tree yesterday.

Here are the two shots from the Capitola Beach. First one before the sunrise. Looks like I need a wider lens than the 24mm.

Second shot from the beach. Surfers were already in the water. The sun was rising fast so just took a few shots before it was all over.

I used to live in Aptos way back when. Santa Cruz area is very beautiful.

I love that side. Should have bought a home, now too expensive anywhere along the coast.
