Thank you, glad you liked it. Where = Inner Mongolia region, China. How = I don't know what you mean by that. The horses were running down the hills covered with snow and I used my camera to photograph them.

Couple more off road images...heading back out tomorrow morning and going to focus more on video...

The steam off the hot engine/exhaust created some cool atmosphere out there in the cold...air temp was just above freezing.

Cool light up at the high point. This top of the mountain is usually grass...but all the rain and snow has made it into a mud pit.

Yeah I think the location mostly answered the 'how' bit! I've never seen a scene like it though. Amazing to be in the right place, at the right time. It looks like a scene out of a story book.

Agree it is definitely Awesome. Hopefully they put that 'A' setting on the new A7 iv!! :-)

So...if you have your IBIS set manually...say on 600mm...set it back to something else when you want to use a wide angle...I thought the a9 was dying in me...IBIS was freaking out..huge movements when trying to shoot tonight...

Since purchasing my Loxia 85mm I've had a really slow start with it - barely used it in my two years with it - but I hope to give it much more use this year.

Although my a7R II will be a miserable body for it, I've decided to start with purchasing the 200-600mm first and will attempt to use it a while before making a final decision on the body I want to upgrade to. Still leaning towards the a7R IV, but am also open to another body.

Maybe Sony will roll out a really compelling a7 IV or something. I'd go for an a7 if they could bring the resolution up to 36MP and provide a fully articulating touch screen.
