First time I’ve seen that, looks good but 150$!!!

Yes, I know. The Meike (external link) version is almost identical and only costs $40.

If my Sony version had not been included as part of the A9 purchase, I would have gone with the Meike.

Brilliant I never thought of that - made me smile .

Rob.

I wouldn't actually recommend it under normal circumstances..... :)

Eddie wrote in post #19190941 (external link)
That gives me an idea....:D

Use something very sharp if you must ;-)a

:p Seems a little drastic, but that is a solution

see above in ref to recommendation, I've actually been thinking about a battery grip for the extra shooting time afforded, Still thinking..... :)

That one looks even better with the arca plate built in. Might have to pick one up

Always makes me smile when the big hands not fitting your camera thing gets discussed, I've got big hands but I sorted out the problem of not fitting your pinky on the camera without a grip attached a few years ago now.....

Reminds me of my father. He loved woodworking but at times we wondered if he didn't just like to put his fingers in the saw. :p

You nailed it Tim, woodworking machines are not too forgiving of a slip at the wrong moment! I try not to do that any more!

I’m aware that the newer bodies have a significantly girthier grip, which happily addresses a more serious problem that people with long fingers had, but unless the new bodies are quite a bit taller (1/2” 13mm) it does not address the home for my small finger that I want.

there's no height improvement of the body overall, but the grip ;-)a

hard to show, but this is the reason why it feels like your fingers fit so much better, there's so much more surface area, along with the higher molded grip, that it does feel a good bit different.

Hi, my name is Alfredo. I’m new here. How do you operate this Sony camera? :-P

Seriously, it’s been too long my friends! How is everyone???

Family is doing well. Been out of photography for a while. Been too busy with work. New schedule is 10 hour days but every Friday off. Been diving deep into stock investing and crypto. Learning a lot.

Was thinking about you and wondering where you went. Glad everything is ok!

Stock and crypto markets are interesting right now. Easy money right now but it looks like we're on the tail end of a a hype inflated bubble that is more and more starting to parallel the tech market crash so be ready to exit positions quickly if things turn south.

Gamestop was the most fascinating thing I've seen in a while. Wow.

It looks like you'd have to remove it to take out the battery. I think I'd rather get a bracket, "L" type bracket or straight only, that allows the battery to be taken out without the need to remove the bracket.

Great to see you 'drop in' Alfredo, I was asking if anyone had heard from you just a few days ago. I'm glad to read that you and your family are fine. I hope you'll find time in the future to snap a few photos and post them here.

Have fun being a 'day trader', and look out for those short sells.
