During my Utah trip, we drove the scenic route along UT-12 from Capitol Reef towards Bryce Canyon. It was a beautiful drive taking you through a national forest, up a mountain to 9600 ft, and down through the edge of the Escalante National Monument. I got lucky with the light and timing as we pulled over in time at this overlook during sunset. I believe Paul mentioned this place would be ideal for spending a few days camping and hiking around the canyons.

Just got my Sigma 40mm f1.4 Art. Holy guacamole, this thing is huge and heavy.

Quick shot. I had to sell my Fuji GF 45mm f2.8 but now looking at the shot from GF lens a week ago, I am having second thoughts.

Fuji 45mm f2.8 GF, @f2.8. The rendering, and the way highlight shadow transition happens, looks better even though it is a slower lens. Maybe this is due to the medium format look. I should have done side by side before selling it.

On FM, the links to Flickr showed the 2nd image as an 85mm 1.4, now corrected to 1.2.
Are you saying the 2nd image is G 43mm? I’m confused, sorry.

Was out yesterday to explore a couple spots with moving water... will have to explore further to find more of those, and hopefully better ones, in my area.

I like how the first one is a good representation of the bleakness of the early spring in Eastern Canada.

had my first Paid RE job yesterday(low budget but its a start) so no exciting photos to see here , but i'd love some CC (i havent sent them to client yet) especially on the colors(t0o bright/dark/ constrasty?) but CC on any aspect is appreciated.. these are just of the exterior . i did little to no work in PS on the majority of photos, though maybe i will for some things like the white specs on the roof? or is that a no go in RE photos? i know things like fire hydrants and power lines cant be removed

its a small home with a tiny bathroom which was the most frustrating part, 16-35 just isnt wide enough, comparing listing for similar homes i see no one else is doing anything special but i'd like to stand out so considering a 12-24 if more work comes in.

Lol those photos are fine, of course, but you're making me feel self-conscious about my bathroom... I once tried to photograph it (with poor technique to be honest) with a 15mm on full frame and I couldn't quite do it. Yet it feels quite fine size-wise!

I did one set of real estate photos for a friend that was in a crunch. She wanted everything brighter than I ever would have done (extreme HDR look that you see all over Zillow) but that's what she wanted and that's what she got and she was happy. Ask your agent if this is what they want and if not edit it to their wishes.

Your pictures look great imo.

One from yesterday. It was quite windy and I didn't planned for the day lights savings time change when I scheduled the shoot couple of weeks ago. Single 5' octa and table as the reflector.

Lenses aside, the Fuji colours were much nicer in those examples. I assume no PP to either?

Just quick edits in C1. Personally I don't have any issues with color from Sony A7rIV. Maybe Sony changed something starting with this camera as I remember some folks in the classes that I teach at work and their people shots having more greens in them.

Ah ok, I thought you were showing them edit free with same lighting etc. Probably can’t compare then if they have been edited and edited differently

Compared to my A9, my A7rIV has more greens when I'm taking POC portraits.

In the DPRE Studio Scene comparison tool, the A9, A9II and the A1 do much better on skin tones than the A7rIV.

thanks for the feedback..

..

looking at the insanely priced 12-24 gm and cheaper though not cheap 12-24 f4..

however i'm thinking that since i already have the 16-35, perhaps the 12mm Laowa (at 1/3 the price of the gm, and half the price of the G) is a better option .. anyone have any experience with the laowa?
