Any problems with your a1 EVF Jose? Real happy with it so far?

Hi David

I haven't had any problems with the EV but I have been keeping an eye on the thread over at FM. Planning to go out this coming Monday and Tuesday, we will see. So far really impressed with this camera.

it was a pretty place. there were a few people doing some portraits, but not nearly as many as I thought there would be.

I like the effect, except for the size of the "window", it feel less like a window because it is so small.

Agree, I tried moving the light back to make a bigger window but then the it becomes softer. I guess that's why this one was like < $150. I had a bowen's spot light but it sat in my lab for more than a yr and when I brought it home, the fresnel lens was broken. I am thinking on returning this one and see if the other one where I can attach a canon lens would be better.

So I got back today from what amounted to a 1.25 day trip to Charleston to check out Magnolia Plantation and Gardens while it was at the absolute peak of the azalea bloom. I thought I nailed this one...except for that lens flare. The two GM lenses seem to be much more prone to flare, and the sun wasn't even visible in this scene. The 16-35 seems to be in its sweet spot at f/11, there is noticeably better sharpness there...the Batis 18 was always home at f/8-9. Anyway, I spent so much of my time focusing on this row of trees, both in the morning and two afternoons. The colors on the blooms were so bright and vibrant. Perfect timing.

I wanted to take a picture of my kid with the mustard flowers but most of them in my area are mowed already. As I was taking these shots, I noticed that the clouds were moving in so it might make more an interesting sunset. Kids didn't want to drive up to Livermore spot so ended up taking the following shot closer to my home. SF skyline way in the back on the right side.

I tried Luminar out a couple years back and really disliked it. Now it’s got some nice usableness and, best of all, works as a plugin for Photoshop. That lets me integrate Luminar AI into my workflow alongside other great plugins like Nik Color Efex and Topaz AI.

I would like to add you can use smart filters from PS to Lumniar AI and back, dont like some edit you made in L AI when it returns to PS, just click on it again in your layers panel, and it will put wright back into L AI with all edit's intact, and from there you can make changes needed.

BTW: Skylum is having a Big Easter sale going on till April 6 with upto 40% off which includes owners of any Skylum products. . There's an notice in Classifieds For Sale for the discounts

Was this taken through a window? I’m seeing a couple of very distracting vertical smudge areas along the bottom of this otherwise beautiful photo. It’s such a nice photo that it deserves to be fixed, which can easily be done with curves in Photoshop.

Yes indeed. PS smart filters and smart objects are very powerful.

It was quite windy and there were these wild grasses in front of me. I will try to fix in PS.

That turned out super Bill. I thought I'd try one of my hummer shots from the a9 using 'super enhance' too.

I think your GM is going back. ;) Between your Sigma 35/1.2 and 35/2 you’ve got a fantastic couple of 35mm options, each with beautiful rendering, to suit any need.
