Another 17 x 6 crop experiment from a trip to Laughlin, NV. a few years ago. Again using the Sony a7r + FE 24-70 f4 lens. I uploaded this one at 6144px on the long side as well.

Love the carrying handle.

Thanks. I don't know why there is a handle...... I mean yeah, you can pick her up I guess but there's never any need to....

I like to sell here or on FM because I want my gear to go to peeps that will use it.

Sold my 40 1.2 shipped it off had photos from angles and all sides in listing...... sold it after he haggled for 3 days and I refused to go down anymore. He gets it..... says "Optically stellar, Lens hood as described..... but I gotta say there are 2 hairline scratches on the body you didn't describe so I dont think its an 8 quality I think its a 7.5 or 7 what can you do to make it right".

I told him send it back I would refund........ so I have it back now, LOL of course I am back to hmmm the sun stars are better on the 40 than the 35gm maybe I should keep it ....ARRGGGGHHHH

Going to put it on ebay where I dont care what people think.

Sheesh.

I think it's a sign......... ;-)a

Fine art museum worthy Travis. I love the sense of extreme loneliness that a long-abandoned shack in a barren desert wilderness conveys. I especially like the contrast between the two sides of the shack…it’s hard to see where the building stops and where the shadow begins, and that is very cool in this setting.

Thanks David. The timing was right, or lucky for the front and roof to be lit just right to out the side in shadow. It gives it more dimension to me. Glad it works for others too. I didn't want to open the shadows too much, I like the contrast on it.

I've not looked at them yet, but the place I went this morning was beautiful. I need to check I've done a good job just in case I need to leave the alarm set for 4:30am tomorrow to return :-D I might anyway, there's a slight forecast of fog!

Cheers Travis :)

SAR is rumoring a Sony 100mm 1.4 GM. If that’s true I’m in deep doo-doo financially. I’m really liking what I’m seeing from the 50 1.2 GM so far (images posted on Flickr and FM). Add in a fast 100mm and I could run with a fabulous trinity of primes perfectly spaced out at 24, 50, and 100mm. My two Batis lenses would go up for sale in a hurry to help acquire a fast 100mm GM. I’m sure it’s a BS rumor, but hoping hoping hoping it’s true. :)

Edited in DXO PureRAW then Photoshop

I wasn't fast enough to capture this little guy in the air. This was shot pre-launch.

When I was shooting portraits with film, focal lengths from 85mm to 105mm, with 105 being ideal were recommended. I know what I paid for my 85GM f1.4 so I can only imagine what the 100GM f1.4 will be. I would consider selling my 85GM for the 100, especially if it does macro.

That would be my ideal portrait/macro setup. I'd sell my 90G Macro as well. :-)

I was tempted by a well priced (used) 90G this week......!

I just don't think I'd use it fully. I'm more of a close up than macro.
