Beautiful looking setup!

Thanks! I take it along pretty much everywhere, it's a fun camera to shoot.

Well, this morning, I developed some 120 film shot in my Kodak Vigilant Six-16. The film was Ilford HP5 400 b&w developed with Cinestill Df96 in my Lab-Box. :-)

Now I'm just waiting for the negatives to dry so I can scan them. I got some Kodak Tri-X 400 as well as Kodak Portra 400 color film yesterday. I'm looking forward to trying both although I won't be getting the Cs41 chemicals for color until this Saturday.

Eventually, I'd like to shoot Positive 'slide' film with this camera. That takes a whole different combo of chemicals to develop and the latitude for proper exposure is very narrow. We shall see how that works out in the future.

Why, you ask? Just to see if I can. ;-)a

sounds like alot of work, but fun. looking forward to seeing the pictures.

I’ve previously had a couple of LIM cases on various bodies and they are really great quality, up there with the Gariz half cases I’ve had

good to know. I've look into Gariz from time to time just to see the nice pictures they have hehe.

I've had two falls where my camera was basically saved by half cases. Hipster as they make you look, they do pad the camera in the right areas too.

I think they look more luxury and premium other than hipster :P
was a fan when you posted your rx1 in em.

My thoughts exactly, super curious about that comparison but I need to find the time to do it. As excellent as the Otus is I was looking for an auto focus solution, I' getting older and holding the Otus steady when manual focusing is getting more and more challenging for me. I can tell you that from a weight perspective it's night and day:-)

Based on some quick shots, I can tell you that this lens is super sharp wide open at f1.2 no issues with sharpness for sure, so that characteristic is very similar to the Otus.

My L bracket saved one of my cameras once. I'm way too old to know what hipster is supposed to look like, but I do like the look of the LIM half case on my X-100F :-D

Is a hipster in the US different to a hipster in the UK ?

Having sold my 55 Otus a few years back  I’ve been wanting to fill that gaping hole in my heart ever since. From all I’ve seen posted so far I think the 50GM is going to do it for me. It beautifully melts backgrounds like the otus, while maintaining stunning framewide sharpness wide open. I’m super excited about this lens.

I remember when you sold that lens, I was surprised you were going through with it. I kept mine simply because it was the best 50 I had/have but that might change now.

Quick grab at f1.2 from the GM, bo sharpening applied at all.

Rob.

Yep, I did this all back when we had no other option too. Still, it's a fun challenge now, but thank goodness for my Sony if I want to shoot something reliably now. :-)

A candid shot at my neighbor's the other day. I was using the waist finder on the Kodak and didn't compensate enough for the lens being on a different plane. I liked the photo anyway.

This was shot at f11 not f1. I didn't notice I neglected a "1" when I filled in the exif info.
