All the posts about bags + just came back from a fun but back aching vacation

Ive been using a "regular" good back pack..its ok if i got moderate weight , but when taking alot with me its no fun , plus no compartments , theres a few dividers .. but yeah things are just stacked on top of each other.

So yeah went with the lowepro flipside 400 aw.. (not new version)..should arrive today , hopefully not too big for me

This last trip was the one that finally convinced me. I've been wanting a bag for a while but to me it's one of those non fun things kind of that you have to spend on sometimes to support the more exciting things.. and so that's why I was procrastinating

That shot of the pier made me realize, that the CV 15 needs to be next, I would have liked to had more to the left, and the sunstars off the lights would have been better with the CV15...so...on the hunt for a good one...

my favorite feature of the CV15 III is the hard stop infinity at F5.6. no worries on the focus. everything will be sharp.

Wow! Gorgeous light rays and car trails.

Thank you David!

At first, I thought it might have looked even better if the sun rays were emanating from the center of the frame like the light trails do but on reflection, prefer the two distinct trails of light coming from different angles as captured...A Beautiful scene to be sure.

Thank you Gene! I was lucky with the sun rays.

WOW...I might have to go shoot that spot this weekend, I have seen it there, but never realized there was a photo hole...likely made by a photographer!

Thanks Travis! It's a great spot. Somebody cut out two holes in the fence. One is in the perfect position right down the middle. Yeah it was a photographer I bet. I parked at the nearby mall but watch out that you don't get locked in by mall security. I had to leave and missed getting a frame of the northbound train. That's why you don't see red lights up that right side track. vmad

Still trying to decide on the CV15 or Laowa 15. Both appear to be great.

I think I would use it a lot...I have loved the 200 f2 everytime I rent it...to own one would be special.

Hey David A...I will be down in Pine Mountain on Oct 10 presenting to their chapter of GNPA...that is your neck of the woods is it not?

I will go with the CV...such cool little lenses, and I know how they render sunstars, and I just like the look and feel of them.

I dont think I'll ever own a fast 200 again, simply too big, even for portrait shoots.

it was cool at first, then I started to dread it. I'll settle for the 135 variants much smaller and good enoughish ;-)a

Very cool! Yes, Pine Mountain is pretty near to me. I'll try to attend.

I love images from long telephotos, but they definitely pose ergonomic problems. One reason I'm hanging on to the Batis 135mm is that the 100-400mm is not a reasonably packable lens to use in concert with other lenses while out on a hike/walk. That was my whole logic of buying the Batis in the first place and it still holds true imo.

Can't say enough goodness about the Batis 135mm: a lens with almost no faults (slight pincushion distortion is its only shortcoming AFAIK).

200mm f/1.8 is a Classic, and I seriously wanted to own one of those 8000 bokeh lenses when I found out that such lens exist, sold a lot that time, 85mm f/1.2 L II, 200mm f/2.8 L II etc, but I knew, I could buy those lenses again if I wanted, but 200mm f/1.8 maybe never again, so bought mine 200mm f/1.8 with help of member of this forum from Sweden, never regretted and looked back.

I didn't bought 85mm f/1.2 L II again, but found better/cheaper alternative one without AF - Samyang XP 85mm f/1.2 and already leaning to buy 200mm f/2.8 L II again.

None of lenses will be to big, heavy for bokeh and rendering you <3 (and I can handhold those 3kg with smile on my face:) ) :

p.s. and I'm looking to buy and 400mm f/2.8 non IS L...:)
