Safe trip to you in Baja Eriet.

Not much going on here except Swallows. Even the Canadian Geese have disappeared.

Used to I used BBF. Not with the new rig. Shutter to focus AND AF-on to track. Amazing to watch the
square stay on a Swallow. I think, maybe, around here only Swifts are faster.....but I've never seen a Swift
that I know of.

A7C should be here Friday.

Bill must be more discerning. Rare I ever took the 1.4 off the 200600 with the a9.

One of these days I’d like to take an hour drive up I-85 with my a1 and FE 200-600mm to the atl airport and spend an evening taking some beautiful BIFs while enjoying the lovely fragrance of jet fuel.

Good to know, thanks. When I has Canon, I had the 1.4 and never used it either. Ended up selling it. I suspect I wouldn’t use the Sony either. Just found out I need new tires for the truck, so probably a moot point anyway ? :p

I don't know if there is any copy variation but I couldn't be happier with mine and it gets a lot of use on the 200-600. Even find it working well in dim conditions..... 840 is very nice :)

The 14 GM arrived today. Super compact and lightweight lens for what it is. Going out this weekend on a hike to test it out.

Filter to use with bulbous or no front thread lenses, you can use your nail if long enough for easy mount and unmount

Good to see they are shipping.

I made the mistake of pre-ordering through my local camera shop. Supposedly I'm number 1 on the pre-order list. When I called them today they had no idea when it would come.

Sorry to hear that Tim. I have a local dealer that I've done quite a lot of purchasing from and he always comes through for me. I ordered the A1 and the 50GM well into the preorder stage and I was able to get both the day they were scheduled for release. I prefer to work with the local brick and mortar guys unless there is no option because of stock availability in which case I'll order usually through B&H.
Hopefully yours will come in soon.
