vey nice I have just bought this lens and very happy with it too .

Rob.

Back in my Canon days, I owned the 24-105 f4 L lens and liked the zoom range. Sometimes, my Sony 24-70 f4 lens doesn't have quite enough reach for me.

This shot looks across the race track at the Hemet Stock Farm grandstand from the outside fence. The track is just an open field now.

Yes i had that one too it is a great range I don't need a fast wide so f4 is fine right up to 105 mm .

It's really interesting how these egrets are found in 'herds'. Great composition of their interaction with each other.

More from the farm. I have to say that I'm very happy with the images produced by this 80 year old camera.

I think so too but one of the least sought after of the egrets.

I had this Canon lens as well, used it for years great lens, then I dropped it and cost me over £600 to have it repaired.
Then sold it to get a Sony lens.

Haven't told you yet but I'm really enjoying going back in time....or at least the very very real feel of it via this image series.

Played with A7C today....in the rain, completely overcast....crap day, but what would one expect for a new camera?
Picked it up in the big city and headed back to the mountains but stopped at the river....always something going on there and semi-close
compared to here on the lake where lots goes on but often on the other side.

I didn't buy the A7C for wildlife per se, but one needs to know the limitations of the kit right. So a couple of bierds...easy ones not going
the speed of light like the Swallows.
And a shot for Travis since he likes coming to the Roan especially during the bloom. This one from the side yard. I have four species of Rhododendron
here not counting the Flame Azalea (which is also in the Rhodo family). Travis if I'm at 4000 feet you can see it won't be long before the explosion
up higher.

These are all on my alternate flickr page where EXIF can be seen.
All bierd shots with the E 70-350G. A lens that is a huge favorite of Poof's and mine.
The bloom via the FE 24/2.8
