Don't know how to tell you this Travis but the Blue-J was via the Sony A7C.
350mm as listed.
Attached a snip of the image in Bridge so you can see how much I cropped.
You can also see the amount of vignetting when using the APS-C lens on the full
frame body....for a wildlife photographer most interested in the center I'm good with
that. I know for landscaping it would be shameful ;)
Oh, forgot to say if you go to the Flickr you can click in twice to see just how good this
affordable and lightweight marvel it.
Now I did have to try two copies to get a good one. The first went back to b/h and the good one
came from Henrys in Canada.
Also while I'm in a mood. I think my thanks go to Bill in Texas for turning me on to this lens.
For the long walkabouts Poof and I both grab for it....even when I had the Riv.

David you've heard me rant about how not long ago $6K Canons and Nikons only had 8mpx sensors :)
What impresses me with the A7C is how small of a sling bag I can get it into.
Of course I'm not impressed with the EVF issue but don't we expect growing pains will all new bodies
no matter who makes them? Still an irritant.

With the now ancient and very affordable (used market) Canon 200/2.8 which
AF's a dream via the MC-11 (another light lens that doesn't crack vertebrae).

The blood red Rhodos are a bit behind the pinks and whites in the yard. I'm afraid they'll bloom out
while I'm gone for a trip coming up :(

A7C has close to same pixel density as the a9....so cropability is limited as well.
AF is as good as the A7Riv if not a bit better.
Battery life is wonderful. The A1 could learn a lesson here.
Ergonomics, hmmmm, well lets say they are doable. Really really could have used a front dial.

On this shot I tested the IBIS at 1/15 second.

Played with A7C today....in the rain, completely overcast....crap day, but what would one expect for a new camera?
Picked it up in the big city and headed back to the mountains but stopped at the river....always something going on there and semi-close
compared to here on the lake where lots goes on but often on the other side.

I didn't buy the A7C for wildlife per se, but one needs to know the limitations of the kit right. So a couple of bierds...easy ones not going
the speed of light like the Swallows.
And a shot for Travis since he likes coming to the Roan especially during the bloom. This one from the side yard. I have four species of Rhododendron
here not counting the Flame Azalea (which is also in the Rhodo family). Travis if I'm at 4000 feet you can see it won't be long before the explosion
up higher.

These are all on my alternate flickr page where EXIF can be seen.
All bierd shots with the E 70-350G. A lens that is a huge favorite of Poof's and mine.
The bloom via the FE 24/2.8

Thanks very much Robert. I've been enjoying photographing these old farm buildings and fences with this camera. There does seem to be something special about shooting film that gives the images a timeless look to them.

they do, and it's a nice change in scene to be looking back from time to time.

DT don't be offended/rarely we see Egrets here in the mountains. That
is a GBH=Great Blue Heron.
Egrets wouldn't eat you. A GBH will eat anything.
I watch one stab to death/head punches with the long beak, a 3 foot long
Siren (one of the largest salamanders) and big enough around I probably couldn't
grasp it....and then toss it up in the air and swallow the whole thing.
Serious animals.

Thanks so much Jose. Just good to be back in the saddle again. Too long the cameras sat idle.
I get my wins and loses, I guess we all do, but just darned good to be trying again.

Stupid question. What is the purpose of the website?
Is it to show your photos or is it to get work?
From reviews I have seen, people are lazy, the portfolio should be one click away at most and should contain what you are trying to sell, and what you do.

both, maybe more towards work/profession.

Nah, just what they are called. I shouldn't have officiated/pontificated.
All egrets are Herons.
Now where the taxonomy splits I can't say but for example Cranes are completely separated from Egrets-Herons.

Now I do know that all azaleas are rhododendrons, but not all rhododendrons are azaleas :)

Again sorry if I was at an undeserved lectern. I'm really NOT a bierder, not at all. My main way of discerning
them is the app Merlin on my phone haha!

Another great one Lee. Digging the horse! Looks like a snow-horse in a big way to me. Gorgeous path to walkabout; I'd need sunscreen
though (even in the UK).
