Yeah that's the beauty of those lenses, I had an opportunity to use the F2 version back in my Canon days and I came a click close to purchasing on one occassion but thank God my better senses kicked in, it's a bit of an ergonomic nightmare situation to shoot for me, basically on a monopod at all times yet everytime I see the output from it the yearning to own it comes back again.

Here are some good examples from Fred Miranda's site.

The problem I had with the combo was just keeping it steady when handholding, it was a monopod lens for me personally but the output was just superb, it's a pretty unique look.

She looks very much like the ill-fated Majorie on Game of Thrones. The tone of this image reminds me of her death. Hopefully your model will be longer lived.

Took the kids to the beach today. Mainly to do some shooting at low tide while they played. I certainly wasn't expecting all the traffic at the reefs. There was one engagement session, one maternity session, two model shoots, and at least 4 portrait sessions going on when I got to the spot I wanted to shoot. All within about a 50 square yard area. I don't think any of them were even getting the reefs in the shot either. Left me setting up down in the water. . . . . . . .

she has a very sweet smile and i have a lot of those but i choose that because to me it looks like there's a story behind her expression. it's like telling a story only her knows what. what story can you get from all smiling, she won a lottery? lol.... sometimes keeping the audience wondering can be intriguing. Exactly what you're thinking right now, wondering.

here's a SOOC of her giggling for no reason. lol. Smiling is just one of the many expressions.

Carlo - I usually cringe when I have to go off site and look at albums, but yours was quite enjoyable!! Keep up the good work and enjoy those youngsters while you can.

+1!

Wow, Carlo...those images are just outstanding. If I felt in a rut, one look at your work would pull me right out of it. Excellence.

Please don't share any secrets, but did you create your website from scratch, or is it through one of those template things (smugmug, squarespace, etc.)? I tried a squarespace thing last year and the images took forever to load, so I quit it, but yours appear instantly and the scrolling experience is smooth. Regardless, your gallery is not only great for the content, but the viewing experience is as good as any I've ever seen too.

Don't know why, but it rubs me wrong when people say "thank you for sharing," but I gotta say it Carlo: Thank you for sharing, because your work has inspired me. :)

You got me wanting to go shooting so bad now, but I have to wait for some healing.

Thank you guys for the kind words!

David for my website, I actually picked the brain of a designer friend of mine and he said not to overthink the design for a photography website. As a photographer the photographs themselves are what will make a website attractive, so his advice was to keep it simple and design something really minimalistic and really displayed the photographs well. So yeah I just went with a standard square space template but switched it up a bit. Everything on the site is driven by photos...including the links to the client galleries, which are another opportunity to highlight my work since people will see other things I've shot in there too when they look for their gallery.

Really nice alfredo. Did you use DXO here for perspective distortion?
