Two weeks in southern Alabama, Mississippi, Lousiana, and a brief swing through mid to upper east Texas.
Saw lots of interesting things. One hundreds of crawfish/crawdad farms. Took a while to figure out what they were.
Not interesting to me to photograph but the little critters sure are. Found this one in a creek near where we camped one night.
Also of interest....we were in the deepest of the south eh, and only two nights did we feel pressed to find a place to plug in the camper--we can
only run the rooftop air conditioner when plugged into shore power.
And I grew up fishing for blue crabs on the Pamlico Sound in far eastern NC. This little guy got me and reminded me of getting hit

When I lived in Stockton, Ca. years ago, we used to go out catfishing on the California Delta at night and set our crawdad traps out too. The next day, we usually had enough of them for a nice crawdad boil.
